[ michael's pov ]
a loud, high-pitched noise wakes me up. i open my eyes to find a brown little bird staring at me a few metres away from my face.
i turn around to find sam still asleep laying next to me.
i smile at the sight, her cheeks are slightly pink and she looks so peaceful that i decide to let her sleep for a while more.i stand up and put my shirt back on. memories of last night flashing through my mind make me smile widly. we really did it. and it was amazing, well at least that's what i thought. i hope she liked it too.
it felt amazing to hear her saying the three words. she actually said it first. i still can't believe last night was real.
i don't want to be gone when sam wakes up, so i lay down again and close my eyes, letting the sun warm my pale skin.
i fall asleep again, and when i wake up, sam is already up. she's sitting in the couch with two cups of coffee in her hands.
'hey' i smile at her as i get up from the floor.
'morning' she smiles back offering me one of the cups.
'how did you get them?' i ask sitting next to her and grabbing the cup.
'downstairs' she simply answers before taking a sip from her cup.
we stay in silence for a while, not knowing what to say and awkwardly sipping from our cups now and then.
'we should go back' i say after finishing my coffee.
sam nods and we both stand up from the couch and make our way downstairs silently.
i don't know if we should speak about what happened last night. probably yes, but it's too awkward. also she hasn't brought it up so maybe she doesn't want to talk about it. maybe she regrets it all.
'this is my room' she suddenly says stopping in front of her door.
'oh...okay, bye' i say leaning to kiss her cheek. but she wasn't expecting it, and while she was turning around to open her door our heads hit eachother.
'oops, sorry' i apologize, my cheeks red from the embarrasement.
'it's okay' she laughs and then she gets on her tip toes and kisses me briefly on my lips.
'thank you for yesterday' she whispers 'it was amazing'
i blush even harder and giggle nervously while she smiles one last time before disapearing inside her room.
i stand there smiling like an idiot for a few seconds and then i start walking back to my room, but i'm stopped by someone who grabs my arm harshly and makes me turn around.
'luke!' i groan in pain when i see who he was 'let go of me'
he does what i asked for and crosses his arms on his chest.
'i saw you' he says in a low voice. he looks mad.
'saw what?'
'you and sam, kissing'
i roll my eyes and turn around to continue my way back to my room, but i'm stopped again by luke.
'what's wrong with you? i told you to stay away' he yells at me.
'i don't care'
'charlie' he clenches his jaw.
'i know there's something you don't want to tell me about sam, but i don't care about it anymore. i love her and there's nothing you can do to stop me from feeling this way'
'woah, slow down. now you love her?'
'yes, why do you care?' i answer in a harsh tone.
luke sighs and shakes his head, so i
take that as a sign that the conversation is over and walk to my room.when i enter, i find someone sitting in my bed, and i have to admit that i'm glad he's here, it's been a while since the last time i saw him.
