Edd felt chills run down his spine. The sea witch? Was that really the best option he had?
"Dont do it Edd!" Tom pleaded with a whisper as Edd looked back at his tiny friend.
"I wont, i promise..." he whispered back as Larry frowned disappointed.
"Aww, youre not taking the option? I thought you wanted to be with your prince." He shook his head as Edd stared back at him.
"I do, but-"
"Well I'd say just go back to the surface to watch him, BUT... I recall you saying you will never go back to the surface again."
"KNOCK IT OFF." Tom shouted as Larry rolled his eyes at the angry crabs reaction.
"Look im just saying, you probably shouldnt go back up there Edd."
Edd looked down at the ground.
"I guess thats true..."
"So its probably best you dont keep trinkets like this around..." Larry said holding the golden mirror. Edd's eyes widened as Larry raised it high above a rock.
"DONT!" He pleaded. Larry turned his head and raised a brow.
"Yes?"
"I-Ill go with you..." Edd choked out, tasting fear on his tounge.
"Good..."
Larry smiled, eye glowing once again. He guided the merman and his crab companion the way to the lair of the sea witch, who was known to be extremely powerful and dangerous...
They swam through the firey undersea volcanos which had lava pouring out like slime, many tangling thorn growths, and the tar pits of the deepest parts of the ocean which had brought many merfolk to death, and soon found the enterance to the sea witches home.
When they arrived, Edd felt his spine chill again. The lair the witch dwelled in was made of the carcass of a whale that got struck by a ship, where broken pieces of wood and sail stuck out of its corpse, eyes dull and cloudy.
Edd slowly entered the open mouth of the carcass which smelled horribly rotten and foul, making his stomach churn like butter. He soon saw the sea witch himself at where the stomach of the whale should be, stirring his cauldron full of mysterious slop. He was muttering words and many half eaten crustateons were on the ground, some still living.
"Excuse me- Sea Witch!" Edd called out as Tom hid behind him in fright. The sea witch stopped muttering and turned around, his glowing orange eyes were hauntingly bright...
"Well, if it isnt Mr loverboy?" Bing cackled seeing the merman. Edd bit his tounge. He knew this would happen so he took a deep breath and spoke;
"Listen, your friend told me that you knew how to help me with Prince Matt... and Im willing to follow your procedure."
Bing flashed a wicked grin as he went towards him, his blue ringed tentacles slathering the floor. He grabbed Edd by the chin and made him face his glowing eyes which made Edd nervous.
"Its a good thing you came by while I was in a good mood, so I guess I shall grant your wish..." He chuckled.
"Really?"
"Yes! Really..." he smiled as he took Edd to the cauldron, the crabs claws inside making Tom squeak in terror.
"You see Eddie, I can make you a potion with this lovely brew I've made." Bing pointed to the yellow gloop.
"It'll make you turn into a real human!"
Edd's eyes widened. Becoming a real human of the land? Was that really what the sea witch was promising?
"Really?"
"Yes really! You'll walk, dance, skip around like everyone else above, well of course, its temporary..."
Of course there was a downside to it :/
"But you can become human permenantly!"
Bing persuaded as if he read Edd's mind.
"Earn the love of your prince, and VOILA! You'll stay on the land! But if you fail, you turn back into a merman, but... you'll belong to me..." he chuckled darkly as Edd gulped.
"So, you taking it?"
"Yes..." Edd shook and trembled, looking the witch in the eye. Bing smiled at Edd's fright and laughed.
"Well i suppose thats the ji- OH WAIT! Thats right, I need some form of payment!"
"What do you want from me?" Edd asked cautiously.
"Hmm... I want,"
"YOUR VOICE...."
