First (Second) Meeting

"Matt how can you be sure this mystery person is real?"

Mark asked serving the prince his breakfast in the dining hall. Matt had fallen for the one who saved him when the shipwreck occured, and he wanted to marry them. But he couldn't remember who it was as he only saw a glimpse of their gentle face and warming eyes.

"IM TELLING YOU MARK THEY WERE REAL! Imma find them, and marry them!" Matt insisted as he started chowing down on his breakfest. Mark just rolled his eyes at the prince, he always had a wild imagination. Ringo soon ran into the room, playing with a ball of yarn, gnawing on the red threads and tangling her tiny paws in string.

After finishing his breakfest, Matt decided to get some fresh air with Ringo. All the talk about that mystery person, was clouding his head, as Mark would say. He picked up the cat and left the palace gates on horseback. He arrived at the flower fields and let his cat frolick around. Ringo just rolled around and chased after the butterflies at the fields, jumping up every now and then to try and catch em. Matt paid no mind to this til he saw Ringo run from the field to beach infront of the castle.

"RINGO! COME BACK HERE GIRL! WAIT!!!" He ran down after her after tying the horse to a post. Gosh Ringo was fast, as by the time he reached the shore, he found Ringo purring at the legs of a young man, who had nothing on but a worn out sail. His soft brown eyes felt oddly familar to the prince, but he didnt know why...

Before Matt left the palace, Edd happened to awaken as the dawn rose, its hazy pink view covering the land in sweet warmth. He opened his eyes to find himself on the beach and Tom fast asleep. He patted him on the shell and the small crab opened his beady black eyes and gasped in joy.

"EDD YOU'RE OKAY!" He cheered and cried happy tears hugging him. Edd wanted to reply but remembered he didnt have his voice anymore. He turned over and saw his new two human legs. He felt his heart light up with joy as he stared at his feet, wiggling his toes in the sand.

"EDD!!!!" Tords voice came from the sky. The seagull didn't notice Edd lost his tail.

"How are y- WHOA!!! WHATS WITH THE LEGS?!" Edd just stayed quiet and looked away.

"D-id you see the sea witch?" Edd nodded in response. Tord was shocked Edd would actually consider to visit the sea witch...

"He said we have three days to get the prince to kiss him so he'd remain human, but since he can't speak, itll be very hard..."

Tom said as Edd attempted to stand, his legs were rather wobbly so he fell after attempting to walk a few steps.

"Well, we probably shouldnt leave him like this" Tord pointed out as Edd looked down at his naked body.

"I GOT THIS!"

The seagull insisted as he wrapped a sail around Edd's body and tied it on with a rope. Tom scratched his head as Edd just didnt know how to feel. Hey, Tord tried his best. Suddenly, a grey car ran up to him, It was the prince's pet, Ringo! She purred and nuzzled Edd's leg as if she knew he was the princes rescuer from the storm that day.

"RINGO!!!" Edd saw the prince run to the beach to where he was and felt his heart thump, thump, thump.

"Stop that!" Matt scolded the cat and picked her up. "Have I seen you before?" Matt asked as his eyes met Edds. Edd was about to speak but- voice gone... How do you talk without talking? The merman turned human just nodded yes.

"Oh really? Whats your name?" Matt asked as Edd just wrote his name in sand.

"Edd? Thats a nice name..." The prince smiled as Edd attempted to walk to him but fell into the princes arm, looking up at him in pure shame. Matt just laughed and decided to let Edd stay at his palace as it seemed the guy got shipwrecked. Edd stuck Tom in his pockets as the prince took him to the horse and rode back to the palace, unaware he had just reencountered the man he loved...
