The Prince's Castle

Edd was bought into a guest room of Matt's palace, the people there assumed he was just mute which is why he didn't talk. Tom sat on the plush pillows as his friend stared at the pile of clothes provided for him. He never really wore things other than pearls or crowns woven from colorful sea flowers and seaweed.

"You think its like a sea veil?" Tom asked as Edd attempted to put on a shirt, one with puffy sleeves and white fabric but struggled as he couldnt figure out which hole was which. Tom pulled on the cloth so it would loosen up but it ended up making it even more stuck. Edd stumbled and slipped as he tried getting the shirt off his head, falling on the plush bedsheets. He managed to put it on right after a good 3 minutes of rolling and yanking the shirt, Tom just rolling his eyes as he crawled over to Edds side.

"Umm Edd is everything ok in there?"  A voice asked. Edd gasped as he rushed to the door covering his lower half with a blanket. He opened the door to find the blonde servant called Mark with a cup and a strange pot on a tray.

"I heard noises, you alright?" He asked as Edd nodded to reassure he was okay. Mark laughed as he placed the tray on a table and left the room telling Edd to hurry up as the prince requested he join him for dinner. The merman just flushed of joy as he went to put on the rest of the clothes set for him in a hurry. Before he left, he looked at Tom and mouthed

"Will you be okay alone?"

"I'll be fine dont worry!" Tom gave a claws up and scuttled under a bunch of fabric as Edd ran to the dining hall, looking like he was on air as he walked across the tiled floors.

Matt felt his heart thump seeing Edd all dressed up as the man entered the dining hall, dusting himself off. Edd gave him a gentle smile as he sat by his side. Mark had provided some seafood for supper that night, which seemed to make Edd shudder.

"So, is your home rather far from here?" He asked as Edd just pointed to the sea, mustve been really far!

"Oh I see..."

"May I make a suggestion sire?" Mark said playfully pouring some more wine in a glass. Matt didnt see why not he asked what it was.

"Why not let our guest explore your kingdom? Surely some sight seeing would brighten the day tommorow. You dont have much planned anyway right?"

"I dont see why not!" He looked to Edd who ate the greens of the dish which were mainly there for garnish. "How about it? Wanna sightsee with me tommorow?" Edd gasped and smiled, nodding eagerly. Matt chuckled as he went back to consuming his meal, fish and all.

Tom squirmed under the fabric as he heard footsteps. He assumed it was just Edd, so he didnt think much til he felt the fabric just picked up and thrown into a wooden tub. Turns out, it was a maid getting laundry to clean. The crab crawled and tried to get out of the tub as the maid soon went to the wash bin and poured the fabrics inside, Tom screaming a tiny

"eeeeeeek!"

The crab ended up getting soaked and soaped and cleaned top to bottom as the maid washed the dirty fabrics with fancy soap bars and perfumes. Tom managed to escape after a scrub that could last for 5 months and scuttled back to the bedroom, hiccuping bubbles every now and then. He managed to reach the hallway when he heard a noise behind him.

He turned around- OH GOD NOT THE CAT! He yelped as Ringo looked at him, licking her lips. Tom screamed his tiny scream and ran as fast as he could, Ringo trying to catch him with her tiny claws as he scuttled across long corridors. He managed to reach the bedroom by taking a shortcut through tiny mouse holes in the wall,  quickly falling asleep on the pillows, still hiccuping soap bubbles in his slumber.
