I opened my eyes slightly and I tried to adjust to the lit-up room. I saw my father and a border guard who was shaking slightly at my father's angry face.

"Ruby?"

My body visibly calmed down at his voice. My eyes widened when I remembered the little boy. "Where is Justin?" I asked scared.

"He is safe. With his mother," My father answered sitting beside me. "How are you?" He asked and I sighed shaking my head.

"Take it easy." He said to me before he turned to the guard. "Leave."

The guard bowed and scurried out of the room leaving my father fuming before he turned back to me. "Did you find it?" He asked calmly and I nodded, dragging my knees to my chest.

"It's beautiful," I answered, feeling so proud that he made her resting place looks like heaven. 

"I saw the crack the dead idiots created, it's fixed." He told me and that caused me to smile widely.

"Thank you, Dad. Her grave is beautiful. Thank you for taking care of me." I answered and he nodded placing my head on his shoulder.

"No matter how strong you are, you're still my baby. So, that boy said you were scary on the battlefield. He said your eyes were black. You blinded a wolf. You've seen your wolf then." He said and I looked away nodding my head.

He nodded looking at me, "Well, you'll be shifting soon then. I'm worried for you."

"What did I do? I just saved the pack from rogues. You're welcome by the way," I answered and he squeezed my shoulder.

"I just want you to be safe." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"Dad, I'm not so little anymore. I can handle myself. I think I'm stronger now." I slowly said, also trying to get it to sink into his brain.

He sighed and looked at me again. "That's what I fear. I hope you'll be able to handle it." I blinked my big eyes in confusion and he kissed my forehead. "Have some rest, love you." 

I smiled in satisfaction and he walked to the door and whispered into the guard's ear, "Make sure she is safe. I don't want anything happening to my gem."

My eyes widened in realization as he shut the door behind him. The guard turned back to me. I heard what he had said, even though he whispered.

*Correct. Your abilities have been enhanced. You should be shifting soon. Due to the stupid mark, we were delayed.*

I nodded in happiness already excited. I would be a full wolf soon. Maybe leaving Chris was a good beginning. 

I relaxed on the bed already in thought. My body stiffened at the incident that happened between Tobias and I. Zayn needed me but I couldn't bring myself to talk to him. Especially after that night. I sighed and felt a vibration from under my pillow. Bringing my phone out, my mouth dropped when I looked at the screen. 

Seven missed calls? Four from Avery and three from Justin. 

Who should I call first? 

Only Justin could calm Avery down so she would not kill me so Justin it was. I clicked on Justin's number and waited in fear.
