A D R I A N A

......

I blinked back my tears and nodded my head at Toby allowing the information to sink in. Zayn had a very bad past, he had given up on others. His father had a big hand in his monstrous nature during his first life.

"Don't," Toby groaned and I looked at him in question, "This happened almost a thousand years ago. Don't pity us." He complained and I shook my head in refusal.

"I'm not, if you notice there are a lot of answers to what we are looking for in your story." I quipped and Toby sat up giving me an inquisitive look.

"Like what?"

"Avalon. She is in all of our pasts. I know she had something to do with my mum."

Toby nodded and spoke up, "There was a group. The strongest witch, vampire, and werewolf. When the pendants were given to only the werewolf and vampire, the witch became green with envy and sought after the darkness that they protected the world from." He said and sighed.

"That's the hidden story I found today. My mum was the vampire—"

"—mine was the wolf." I completed and he nodded at me.

"You know, she took my mate too. She now uses her body but I'll get her back. I just know it because I'm studying every spell." Toby said quietly looking at me uncertain about my whole reaction to all this.

I was speechless and thoughtless.

Zayn had suffered so fucking much. He was maltreated, rap, ed and trained to be a monster. Their father was a cold-hearted bastard.

"When you go to him, say nothing about his past, okay?" He said with his eyes locked on mine.

I nodded again.

Seeing that, he nodded and smiled at me in response before standing up and stretching in the process.

"Well, you can go now. I need to research."

He left the living room leaving me in a stunning moment.

Honestly, I didn't believe that people should necessarily take revenge on other people because of what they went through but I think I understand where Zayn was coming from.

I stood up quietly and left the living room to find my mate. The stairs seemed like hard work to me, it wasn't easy. I sighed happily when I saw his room door.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion at my reaction.

My reactions these days.

I knocked quietly and I heard a soft sigh, my eyebrow quirked up in question. The door opened quietly and I was greeted with a pair of mesmerizing blue eyes.

I gave him a small smile and he nodded at me. My eyes widened when I finally understood his expression. He thought I was scared of him now. I replied to this and captured him in a tight hug which he returned almost immediately breathing in my scent.

"How are you doing?" He said in a muffled voice as he talked into my hair. His body calmed down immediately and I nodded in response.

"A little dizzy but I'm okay," I answered back uncertainly.
