"Adriana! Adriana!" I heard again and a seeping fire crawled into my heart as I sucked on all the energy. The pendant shone brightly on my neck as tears rolled down my eyes.

The fire filled my veins, going to every part of my body. I could no longer feel the wolves biting at my flesh. In a moment, everywhere was quiet. Then a bloodcurdling scream followed as I felt all the heat leave my body. A blast of light followed, reaching out and radiating all around me.

I breathed harshly and opened my eyes to see all the burnt leaves and trees. My hands were scorching red and the smell of burnt wolves hit my brain.

I tried standing up with tears already in my eyes as my brain tried to take in all that was around me. There was no man and no Zayn.

I fell on the hot sand with sadness tearing at my heart. And he had just told me he loved me. She took him away from me. She took the love of my life, my mate, and my buddy.

A deep growl left my throat as my eyes turned obsidian black with revenge tearing at my soul. I had to get my life back. I stood up and began walking towards nowhere.

"Ava," I growled out her name. Clara or not, she was going to die. I coughed out some blood from my mouth as hot tears rolled down my cheeks. I had just lost my mate to Avalon. This clearly showed that she had so much power over my mate more than anything.

"Adriana!" I heard from afar as the footsteps came closer. I rolled my eyes at their appearance right now.

Where were they a few minutes ago? When the love of my life was taken from me? I walked slowly towards the voices still seeing the hazy red blood disrupt my plain sight.

The footsteps were getting closer as mine reduced. That fire blast must have taken a lot from me and I was not used to it.

"Oh my God, Ari!" A female voice shouted as the person ran to me. I looked up slowly to see Avery running towards me. Finally giving up, I fell into her arms making her hold me tightly to herself.

My heart scorched in pain at my mate being taken away from me. It was all my fault. I shouldn't have gone out to take a run.

If I didn't, he wouldn't have followed. He would have not gotten captured.

More tears rolled down my cheeks when my mind flicked back to his love confession to me. We were holding each other. Hell, I wanted him all to myself. Then they came.

My hand squeezed in pain and darkness as I thought of so many ways to cause that little witch pain. I had to see Toby cause I had to tell him my plans of destroying Avalon.

"Justin! Hurry!" Avery screamed as my wolf howled in pain. I was losing all sense of sight and everything.

"Shit! Adriana!" Justin bellowed out as he came closer to Adriana and me. "What happened here?" He said as he noticed all the burnt wolves and trees.

"I don't know Justin! I just got here! Come on, let's get her home." Avery bit out already standing me up.

I sobbed as Justin lifted me in his arms. "Don't worry, we've got you." He said and dashed towards the house at full speed. I hid my face in his chest because of the harsh wind it brought.

We entered the main pack house and took me to the hospital room on the down floor.

"Help her!" Avery screamed to the nurses who were trying to get me help. My chest heaved up and down harshly angry with everything around me. All I wanted was my mate and he wasn't here.
