A D R I A N A
.......
The eclipse was midnight but the signs were already becoming visible in the sky. The wind blew more ferociously than usual like it was in the supernatural world. The rivers and oceans almost froze over.
I lay on my bed in thought that morning. My wolf and I had been training over the past few days getting ready for our destiny. My eyes followed the green ball that released from my hands as I threw it up and caught it.
All my friends had been training thoroughly and I felt my mate bond getting stronger. I smiled at my mate's strength and bit my already red lips. These days, I had gotten braver and ready for what was to come.
The betrayed feeling I felt in my heart yesterday had burnt off. I couldn't stop thinking about various ways I could revenge on that silly Alpha.
Zayn and I could not communicate but he always made sure to think of me and send so much passion and love through me. Sparks brightened in my heart at what he was doing. I could feel his warmth. Honestly, the mate bond we had was wonderful. He made me know that I was not alone. Too bad he hadn't wolf-marked me yet making our mind link insufferable.
He was alive and I was going to save him. I smiled to myself and decided to leave my room for a run.
I walked downstairs and saw Toby, Justin, and Adriana laughing together. I had begged my father not to get involved in this. This was my destiny and I was not going to sacrifice any of my loved ones for it.
Zayn was enough and I was going to get him back. "What you thinking about?" Avery said cutting me out of my thoughts as she bit a red apple.
I smiled back at her behavior. She was not behaving like someone who had an upcoming life-and-death war at midnight.
"Nothing much. I need a run." I decided and walked through the door. My ears perked up at the footsteps behind me making a small smile take on my lips. They would never leave me to go alone.
I ran through the grass into the woods as they followed me. My wolf growled and I changed mid-air landing on all fours before dashing with inhumane speed into the woods.
My white fur shone with the sunlight as I jumped branches with delight. My wolf could live for this. I soon turned around to head for the house not before noticing the two huge brown wolves and a raven-blue one beside me.
I found it cute that Avery and Justin's wolves were the same color. I turned around again and we all ran together, the four of us, stealing the sunlight. Zayn and I blended in beautifully with our black and white, especially with the cute patches of white he had on him.
I sighed at the thought of my mate and came to a stop making all of them stop too. I was already breathing hard. I gave a wolfy grin and turned away from them, swishing my tail and signifying, I had to go change.
I went behind a tree and shifted back wearing a loose shirt and shorts. I came out as a human and stared at all my friends changed too. Damn, they were fast.
"Come sit A." Justin patted the ground beside him and I walked there and sat down between my best friends. Toby stood up and walked in front of us.
"So, tonight is the night." We all blinked at his words and nodded. "I'll fight by you, Ari. For my brother, my beloved mate, and the survival of the werewolf world."
I lifted my head with so many emotions for Toby. He had been like a brother. Maybe annoying, but that was what big brothers were for right?
"I won't let you down," I responded and Avery held my hand tightly. A beautiful smile was on her face and I could not stand seeing blood on them later. Even though, it would not be hers.
