A D R I A N A

..........

My eyes drooped slowly as I took note of my surroundings. My mind slipped back to what had happened before I fainted and sadness thawed at my heart.

Toby was gone.

And I heard my mother's voice for the first time. She said she was proud of me. Extremely. My eyes widened as I remembered the stone. I grunted looking around for it and my heart loosened with relief as I brought out the stone from my gown pocket.

Wait, who put it there? Was it me?

The door opened and Avery walked in limping I frowned at her.

"What happened?" I whispered and she shook her head at me smiling sadly.

"We defeated her. But we lost someone bigger." She completed and I nodded with fast tears falling from my eyes. The brother I never had. I stepped down from my bed with Avery giving me a worried look. Even they had said that we used the love of "siblings."

"What's wrong?" She questioned and I shook my head quickly at her, knowing she was talking about my physical health.

She sighed at me, "Zayn is in the hospital room near us, he hasn't woken up yet. Clara is also resting. I just woke up but Justin hasn't. We are all suffering from the blast of the pendant."

My eyes widened, "Where are the pendants?" I asked and she opened her mouth to talk but someone else beat her to it.

"I am with them," I looked up and saw my dad. All the emotions from the battle spilled out as I ran to hug him tightly. He put his arms around me and petted my hair.

"It's okay, I'm so proud of you," He said with admiration in his voice. I shook my head with tears in them while I laid on his chest.

"Toby helped me and he died. It could have been Z-zayn or me. He u-used the wish of the pendant to save me. He loved m-me like a brother. Enough for the pendant to work. I don't deserve i-it, Daddy." I sobbed and he kissed my head with his arms tightening around me.

"Dad, I-I heard mum. She was the one who took Toby instead of me. A-a-along with his mum." I said still hiccuping but it seemed to be reducing.

"Yes baby, your mum was a very powerful werewolf. She always told me to keep the pendant with you, she said she would be in it. So it will always be worn around your neck." He said with his voice breaking a little as he still held me gently.
