A D R I A N A

.........

"Someone's not in a good mood this morning," Justin said as I bounced down the stairs into the living room, pouting my lips. My heart slammed hard against my chest at the thought of the war coming soon. I had been practicing a lot with Toby these days.

I could control my pendant how I wanted to now. After the hospital yesterday, I went into serious training. Toby had read out magical words from the book and I had used them.

"Hey baby," Avery stepped in giving Justin a fat kiss on his cheek and I looked away with sadness in my heart.

She turned to me and stopped midway, "Someone is not in a good mood this morning."

"That's what I said," Justin laughed as they both stared at me in question. I sighed at their inquisitive looks before turning away from them.

"The war is next tomorrow and I miss Zayn so damn much," I rushed out with my feelings all over the place. I felt sad and terrified at the same time.

"Well, anything to calm your mood? Anything we can do? We can go for a run or—" she started but I stopped her.

"That's the point Ave, I don't want to run or train anymore. nothing is exciting about the fact that I might fail the whole world and myself." My head topped forward as I groaned in pain at Avery's spank after my speech.

"Shut up. We are going to win. The stupid witch and the Rogue Army will end soon. Okay? We will help you." She said with a hint of bravery in her tone and I looked to see Justin smiling at me and nodding.

The door slammed shut and we turned to see Toby with glistening sweat on his toned skin. Avery whistled and Justin cocked an eyebrow at her making her wink at him playfully.

"Hey guys," He said using a towel to clean his face. "Why is your face like that? You didn't come for training this morning," He pointed at me making my best friends turn to me again.

"Correct your face, Ari! Jeez!" Avery bit out and I laughed a little. She turned back to the Lycan brother.

"She was scared because of the war. Was because she isn't anymore. You don't have to worry." Are you sure?

He looked at me amused and I shrugged in response. There was another knock on the door and he opened it. A border guard stared at all of us before bowing his head in respect.

"Luna, Alpha Christian of the Dark Moon Pack wants to see you," He said shakily making my face squeeze in confusion.

"Where is he?" I asked him and he pointed outside.
