Everyone in the room - besides Wanda - had the same reaction. Yelling the word 'what'. Classic. Iris sighed as they all began to panic realizing that she was holding it in her bare hand. The first one to break the silence after the yelling was Tony.
"Why the hell is that thing in your hand!?"

"Relax, please." she picks it up with her free hand. "It's lost its power, it can't do anything."
Nat walks over to her and stares at the stone in her hand.
"And where did it go?" Nat asks.

"In me." Iris shrugs. "My powers are..the abilities of the stone. And before you ask, no I don't know how that works."

"Why didn't you tell me before?" Tony furrows his brows. "This is important information."

Iris sighs "I know, I know. I just-I've been trying to forget my past, these powers, everything. I wanted to live a normal life." As she looked down at the stone in the palm of her hand, she could feel the burn of all their stares.
"I don't like this." Tony mumbles under his breath as he starts pacing around the room.

"Tony there's nothing to worry about." Nat says taking the stone from Iris' hand.
"It's not the stone I'm worried about, it's the powers."

Iris furrows her brows.
"You don't trust me?" she scoffs "I've been controlling it all this time, and now that you know the truth you loose your faith?" Her emotions took over. The sense of betrayal was too much for her to handle. "I need a minute." she takes the stone back from Nat and swiftly walks out of the room.

The remaining people in the room stood in silence. Guilt crept up on Wanda as she took a seat towards the back of the room. She was the one who convinced Iris to tell everyone, and look where that got her. Steve glanced over as Wanda sunk into her chair and Vision attempted to comfort her. He lets out a breath and pushes past everyone, exiting the room. Hurrying down the hall, he could hear the faint clicking of Iris' shoes on the hard floor. Once he finally caught up to her he sighed before calling out. "Iris."

Her feet came to a stop and she lowered her head. "What do you want?" She didn't make an effort to turn around.

"Look, I don't know why Tony got so mad. I can't explain that, but please don't shut everyone out." There was a slight echo in the hall due to the emptiness, annoying Steve to change his voice to almost a whisper. "It's not your fault."

"It's always been my fault." Iris turns to face him. "Everything. My whole life. It's why I never wanted to join the team, Id just do something wrong and screw everything up again." she lets out a deep sigh. "And when I screw everything up, no one trusts me."

"You didn't screw anything up-"
"That's not what I said." she let out a laugh laced with anger. "I'm sorry Steve, but you can't comfort me right now." She turned on her heels and continued walking away.

Steve felt the tension in his muscles fade as he watched her walk away. He let out a deep sigh before getting called back. Some sort of explosion in the city. As much as he'd want to try and convince Iris to join them, he knew she'd just say no. So he continued with the rest of the team to suit up and head into the city.

Tony burst through the door of the facility with a loud sigh and a roll of his eyes. "If you would've just listened to me!" Steve says almost yelling as he follows Tony in. The yell echoed through the room causing Iris to sit up straight in her chair.
"If I had, we would all be dead!" Tony yells back.

"Uh guys.." Iris says quietly watching them walk in.
"You don't understand! We could've done that without making a mess." Steve groans taking off his gloves.
"Do we need to have another fight?" Tony says sarcastically.
