10 | CALM BEFORE THE STORM

Blinking slowly, Iris opened her eyes and stared in front of her. Steve was still asleep, laying there, facing her. She studied his face with a smile. He looked so peaceful. This is what they needed. A day to relax. Everything with Damien, and now aliens.., had been so stressful. Their life was getting out of wack.

Although they had more experience with aliens than Iris, Tony, Steve, and Nat were all surprised to hear of them. After they had gotten rid of Loki, they thought there wouldn't be any more mention of aliens. But they thought wrong.

Steve inhaled sharply and Iris focused on his eyes as he started to wake up. He squinted his eyes and yawned before slowly opening them, looking at Iris. He smiles softly down at her.
"Morning." she smiled.

Steve exhales and gives her a gently kiss on the lips before responding,
"Good morning." he rubbed his eyes and stretched his arms. "What are you thinking about for today? Hm?"

"What if we just stay here all day?"
Iris asked, pulling the blanket over her shoulder.

"We could do that." Steve raised his eyebrows "But I think the others must come looking for us."

If Iris was honest, she would've told him right there that she didn't care. She truly just wanted to lay there with hike the whole day, no worries, just relaxing. Even though they hadn't told anyone yet, she didn't care if any of them found the two of them. But she knew Steve would feel the opposite.
It's not that they were trying to hide it, but they weren't sure when the right time was to tell everyone.

Iris groaned "You're right." she stretched and sat up in the bed. "You should probably go then." she turned to Steve "I'll meet ya out there."

Steve sat up with a nod. He got out of bed and walked across the room to grab his shirt. Iris took this opportunity to admire his body before he slide on his right t-shirt again. Before leaving the room Steve walked over and gave Iris a kiss on the head.
"I'll see you out there."

And with that, he left. Iris flopped back onto the bed behind her and sighed.

"Try this one."
Wanda said handing vision a bottle of spice. She stood in the kitchen helping teach Vision how to cook some breakfast for everyone. She was currently teaching him how to make omelettes.

Vision sprinkled some of the spice into the eggs and mixed it in, while Wanda told him the next step.
Iris, walked out from the hallway into the kitchen, and spotted the two, then Steve sitting at the counter. She walked to them and peeked over Vision's shoulder to see what they were making.

"How's cooking class going?" Iris joked and Wanda turned with a smile.

"It's going. He's getting better." Wanda rubs Vision's back.

"Good morning!" Sam says walking out of an opposite hallway. "Ooh what are we making?" he walks into the kitchen smelling the food.

"Wanda's teaching the android to cook." Bucky says walking in and everyone turns to face him. "Sorry, I overheard." he shrugs and sits down at the counter by Steve, eventually joined by Sam.

"He's getting there!" Wanda said helping him stir something in another pot. Iris laughed quietly then turned her head when she heard Natasha.

"So no one woke me up huh?" she rubbed her eyes "I could've slept longer but..I heard laughing." she takes a whiff of the food in the kitchen and smiles, leaning on the counter.

Iris took a look around the room. Everyone was still in their pajamas, or some form of them, just waking up for the day.
"Has anyone seen Tony this morning?" Iris asked, noticing his absence.
