"Hey! How was it talking to your buddy?" Tony asks watching Iris walk inside with the boys following her. Natasha elbows Tony in his side and rolls her eyes. "I-" he winces "..mean did you get any answers?""Nothing useful." Iris says with a sigh. "He did say Damien would keep sending people after Jones, but I'm not sure why. I don't think we can stop him." she leans against a chair. "At least not easily."
"We at least gotta keep Jones safe." Sam says, joining in the conversation. "He may not be of importance to us..but the way Damien is targeting him, I think we might need to check it out."
"Good point." Tony says, pointing at Sam. He taps a button on his wrist and a hologram pops up. "I'll do some digging." he walks out of the room.
"How was it?" Natasha asks, walking over to Iris. "Seeing him 'behind bars' and in prison."
Iris sighs "I thought it would make me feel better. But the truth is it didn't. I still feel paranoid." she shrugs.
"Do you think it would help to get out of town? Maybe head back home to some family." Natasha suggests."I don't have family to go to." Iris says looking down at her feet, making everyone perk up.
"What do you mean you don't have any family to go to?" Steve asks."I don't really wanna talk about it." Iris shakes her head. "I'm gonna lay down." she walks away, not looking back. As she walks down the hallway to her room she shuts her eyes until she's safely inside. Just the mere thought of her parents and family makes her tear up. But she had to pull it together.
She sighs and walks towards her bed and throws herself onto the mattress. It was cool against her skin, and it felt really nice after a long day. She kicked her shoes off and got under the covers, snuggling up in her bed. She felt like she could fall asleep right there and sleep for days. She yawned, closed her eyes, and drifted off to sleep.

Over the next few nights Iris couldn't sleep. The thought of someone constantly coming after her was circling in her head and wouldn't stop.
Every time she woke up, she'd get up as quietly as possible, and head to the kitchen. She'd get a glass of water and stare out the window at the sky.
No one knew she had trouble sleeping. She didn't want to tell anyone and make them worry.
She thought she was doing well until one night Steve approached her."Iris?" Steve asks quietly, walking into the room.
Iris looked away from the window and up at Steve who rubbed his eyes.
"Hm?""Are you okay?" He set his hands on her upper arms. She furrowed her brows and nodded.
"I'm fine." she whispered."I know you can't sleep."
Iris sighed and set her cup down on a table.
"How did you know?" she crosses her arms."I've heard and seen you get up in the middle of the night for the past couple of days. I didn't say anything at first but..now I can't help but be worried."
"I'm fine. It's just a lot to think about..everything that happened." she shakes her head, then leans against Steve's shoulder. "I'm so tired."
Steve sighs and wraps his arms around Iris, pulling her in against his body.
"Would it help if someone was in there?"
Iris shrugged.
"Come on."
Steve walked with her back to her room, and set next to her on her bed.
