Taken from Reality

Chapter 1

"Jackson! THINK FAST!" I hear someone shout and then I see a football flying straight towards me. Without thinking I jumped to catch it, and fall on top of someone.

I look to see who I landed on and it was a girl. I don't think I've met her before, but she lets off a nostalgic aura. 

She has short pitch black hair that reaches her shoulders, and side bangs that cover her left eye. She wore a grey, long-sleeve turtleneck shirt and skinny jeans with a pair of black flats.

As the situation dawned on her
I was about to chase after her and then my friend grabbed my arm and faced me toward him and the rest of the group.

"Dude who was that girl you toppled?" My best friend Chase says, trying to find the mystery girl.

"I don't know. I think she is the new kid we were supposed to be getting. She seemed kinda lost." I say trying to remember her reaction. Chase's icy blue eyes dart back and forth throughout the room.

Then I hear the bell ring and then I go to my first m and realize that the mystery girl was there.

"Ok class, this is Kimberly. She is new here and has only been homeschooled so make a good first impression" my English teacher says introducing her.

After school I went to football practice and I noticed Kimberly sitting on the bleachers with a sketchbook and a pencil, and was drawing away. I walk up to where she was sitting and I guess she didn't notice because I sit down beside her without a single response. Then I tap her shoulder and she nearly falls off her seat, she seemed shocked to see me.

" I-I'm sorry I fell on you this morning." I say fee"I'm Jackson." I say still trying to make eye contact.

"I can't do this!" She says getting up and walking away.

After practice Kimberly wasn't on the bleachers where I left her, I look around and feel a hand on my shoulder

"So how did it go with the mystery girl?" I hear Chase say as he turns to me with a smile.

"What do you mean?" I ask him with curiosity.

"Don't play dumb the whole team watched you and little miss mystery sitting on bleachers flirting with each other."Chase says in a teasing voice, my eyes got wide at the thought of the entire football team thinking I have a crush on a girl I just met...my thought was soon interrupted my the sight of Addison a blonde cheerleader AKA my girlfriend. If she saw me near another girl she'd kill me, what would she do if she saw me talking to one, or even worse FALL ON ONE. I think Chase saw what I was staring at.

"DUDE SHE'S GOING TO KILL YOU!" He shouts in my ear and to make things worse I see Addison whisper something to to one of her cheerleader friends and they start walking this way.

I start to panic then look to Chase to see he is also in panic seeing that my girlfriend is coming our way. Then all of a sudden Chase and I take off into a near by parking lot. I soon notice a sketchbook with colorful raindrops and a cloud and in the cloud the name Kimberly was in big bold letters.

I pick up the book and start scrolling through the pages. Most of them were of the same girl but with different magical appearances, yet they all had wings. Then something caught my eye. I stare at the page and see a boy with dark brown hair and bright green eyes, and a bright essence is coming from his heart. I feel Chase staring over my shoulder and look to him.

"Is that you?" He says looking at me with a shaky expression. We look back to the drawing and notice something different about the boy the bright essence is now gone and he has a pair of huge black wings.

I look back to Chase as he stares at me in horror and see Kimberly running towards us.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!... YOU IDIOTS! GOSH YOU NEVER LEARN!" she yells at us. Then I feel as if someone put a sword through my back and into my heart, and I'm soon surrounded by a bright light.
