Inside the room,
Kayla's POV
I walk into the nurses' office before my best friend, Kimberly. And notice that the dentist is actually Kimberly's older sister, Karlie.
"Hey Kayla sweetie, how you doing," Karlie asks softly.
"Alright," I say nervously. Karlie smiles softly and pats the dentist chair. I nervously sit down on the dentist chair. Karlie gently leans the chair back and gets her mask and gloves on.
"Open for me sweetie," Karlie says encouragingly. I nervously open my mouth and Karlie starts checking my teeth. Then, stops after a moment.
"Good job sweetie," Karlie says encouragingly, letting me go.
"Thanks," I say with a small smile. I stand up from the chair and Karlie writes up a card for me and takes off her gloves.
"Here ya go, in case your parents ask," Karlie says softly.
"Thanks, Karlie," I say.
"No problem, hun," Karlie says softly. I leave the room with Karlie, walking past Kimberly.
"Good luck," I whisper. I slowly walk over to my teacher and she takes me back upstairs to the classroom, leaving Kimberly behind with her sister and Taylor.
