Sylvie's POV
As soon as I hear my mum and older dentist cousins talk about order to go for checkups and them say oldest to youngest, I immediately start to tense up and fear for my life as I'm the oldest one besides them.
"Hey Sylvie, come on," I hear my older cousin Karlie call to me. I nervously get up off the guest chair and walk up to the desk. Karlie walks out from behind the desk and ushers me down the hallway to an exam room.
"Just take a seat love and we can take a quick look at your teeth and clean them," Karlie says softly. I nervously gulp and sit down on the dentist chair.
Karlie puts a bib around my neck and leans the chair back. Karlie turns on the light and positions it on my mouth.
"Alright Sylvie, this will be pretty simple, okay love?" Karlie asks softly.
I nervously nod my head and Karile smiles softly down at me. Karlie gets her mask and gloves on. No stop, I can't. Karlie picks up her mirror and explorer.
"Open wide for me sweetie," Karlie says encouragingly. I nervously open my mouth and Karlie starts checking my teeth.
"Alright not too bad, just one cavity. Nothing too bad, just need to fill that up and then you are good to go," Karlie says sympathetically.
"Mmmm," I whine nervously.
"Hey Sylvie, it's alright. It won't hurt I promise," Karlie says encouragingly. Karlie then grabs a numbing gel and starts rubbing it across my gums.
"Just a little pinch," Karlie says softly. I nervously nod my head and Karlie uncaps a small needle and gently pokes it into my gums.
After that, we wait a few moments before Karlie thinks I'm ready.
"Open your mouth please," Karlie says encouragingly, picking up the mirror and the drill. I nervously open my mouth and Karlie starts drilling out my cavity, then fills it up and dries it.
"Good job hun," Karlie says encouragingly.
"Thanks," I say. I leave the exam room and go out to the front area and see my younger sister, Tina with my other older cousin, Kristine.
