A few weeks later,
Kimberly's POV
"Kimberly, you ready for school hun," Karlie asks softly.
"Nearly ready," I say, coming downstairs. I grab my trench coat and shoes and put them on. Karlie and I leave the house and start walking the street to my school. We arrive outside my school and stand outside the front gate.
"Alright have a good morning hun, I'll see you in a bit," Karlie says softly. I'm not even gonna question that. What does she mean?
"Okay Karlie, bye," I say, hugging her. I walk into school and sit down under the shaded area for a while. What did she mean by 'soon you in a bit?' Did she just mean see you after school or something? I don't know...
A couple of hours later,
Now I know what Karlie meant. I didn't realise that there were dental screenings going on in school today. Excuse me, I'll ask the obvious question; why?!?
And also why is Karlie the person, doing it? No offence. Well actually, it's better that she does it and see how bad my teeth are today, instead of some random dentist.
My best friend, Kayla, goes into the nurse's office and then it's me. Karlie made sure that I was the last one so it would be better for me. The door opens. That was quick. Oh no, now it's me then. I'm not ready. But it's just Taylor. Oh, thank goodness.
"Hey Kim, are you, alright sweetie," Taylor asks softly, squatting down next to me.
"Yeah, I'm just- afraid," I say nervously.
"Aww don't worry hun. You want me to come in with you," Taylor asks softly. I nod my head and Taylor smiles.
