Okay so today is the kids' first day of school and kindy. It's 7am and I'm just about to get the kids up.
I go over to the kitchen and flick the kettle on while Hamish gets up and gets the kids up.
-Hamish's POV-
"Cmon Mike you've got school today." I say encouraging him to get up. "Yep I'm getting up now." Hey says as he stretches then sits up. I then go over to Hollys room and wake her up. "Holly its your first day of school today so cmon get up." I encourage. "Okay I'm up I'm up!" She says as he sits up in her bed.
We don't need to get Rachel up for another half an hour because kindy starts at 9am.
-Michaels POV-
"Mum where's my lunch?" I ask her as I run downstairs with my school bag. "It's in your lunchbox in the fridge." She says. I then run over to the fridge and get mine and Hollys lunch boxes and put mine in my bag then ran back upstairs to give her hers.
Once Holly and I were ready, mum drove us to our new school.
"Hi this is my son and daughter Michael and Holly who are starting today." Mum explains to the lady at the front desk. "Ah yes come with me." She says getting out of her seat and leads us out of the front office.
"Michael this is your class and your teacher is Miss Clark." The lady explained to me. She then knocked and opened the door to a classroom full of kids staring at us. "Miss Clark this is your new student, Michael." The lady explains. "Oh yes come in! You may sit wherever you'd like Michael." Miss Clark tells me. I nod and wave goodbye to mum then sit down next to a boy at the front of the classroom.
-Carols POV-
I waved goodbye to Michael as he sat down in his new classroom. Then Holly and I were lead by the woman from the front desk to another classroom across from Michaels. The woman knocked then let herself in to a classroom with a heap of kids staring at us. "Mrs King this is your new student, Holly." She explains. "Oh hi Holly come on in." Mrs King says. "Cya have a good day." I whisper to Holly as we left the classroom. "Thank you." I say to the woman who took us to the kids' classrooms. "No problem." She says.

"Hamish I hope Rachel is up." I say as I walk into our house and close the door behind me. Rachel was sitting on the lounge dressed, drinking a fruit box and watching TV. I look up at the clock and it's 8:45am so Rachel needs to be at kindy in 15 minutes. "Rach come let me do your hair pretty for kindy." I encourage. She smiles then comes over and stands infront of me so I can do her hair. There's already a hairbrush and two elastic bands on the table next to us so I get them and put them on my thigh as I part Rachel's hair to do 2 plaits.
"Done!" I say looking up at the time. "Okay it's time to go now, Hamish where's her bag?" I say. "Here." He says handing it to me. I then take Rachel's hand and lead her out to the car.
"We're at your new kindy now, look!" I say to Rachel as I pull up out the front. She starts smiling and clapping her hands as she looks out the window at all of the kids playing.
"Hi Rachel I'm Jenny! Welcome to your new kindy!" Jenny introduces Rachel as we walk through the door. Rachel smiles and says a quick hello. "Look look mum there's Luke!" She says jumping up and down pointing to where Luke was playing. "Go play Rach." I say to giving her a quick hug before she runs over to Luke giving him a hug. "Thank you. I'll see you later this afternoon?" I say to Jenny. "Yep at 3:30pm we will see you. Have a nice day!" She says as I walk out the door.
