"F?!" My mom's face turned bright red with fury as she crumbled the report card."Do you know how much me and you father pay for your expenses? Your food, clothes, book, tuitions!" She threw a heavy book at me.
"QUIT STANDING LIKE AN IDIOT THERE!" She threw another book.
I slowly picked up the thrown books and placed it back on the shelves while trying to control tears falling out of my eyes.
This was what she wanted. She wanted to see me cry all over the floor with snort dripping out of my nose.
"YOUR HEAD IS FILLED WITH SHIT!" This time she threw a steel bowl at me. It directly hit my head.
Blood didn't ooze out. But my heart was hurt. It hurt bad. I should have never been born.
Next she took a steel ladle and hit me again on my back.
"ALL I WANTED WAS YOU TO GET As NOT AN F YOU RETARDED FILTH!" She hit me again.
"I worked hard." I muttered. "It's just too difficult for me." A single tear escaped my eye.
"Difficult?" She paused. "That's it. GET OUT! I'M NOT YOUR MOTHER ANYMORE!" She dragged my hair and pulled me out on the streets while I was sobbing uncontrollably at last.
"Whoa whoa!" My dad suddenly held me.
"Honey what happened?" He asked my mom.
"She got an F." She muttered.
"An F?" My dad nodded in deep thought.
"Jin-ya get ready ok? We're going to a high end restaurant tonight. Appa got promoted. We're celebrating that." He said to me sweetly and sent me upstairs as I swallowed back my tears.
I wore my best dress that day.
"So Jin-ya. How did you get an F?" My dad asked as I sipped my soup. My mom on the other hand was quiet.
"Appa. I'm sorry. I promise I'll do better next time." I said in a cheerful tone.
"Let me repeat. How. Did. You. Get. An. F?" His tone lowered down as much as the temperature around me.
I put down my spoon. "I worked harder this time. The test was difficult. I'm sorry. I'll do better next time."
"So you say that you put only input and there's no outcome?" He asked.
I stayed quiet.
"ANSWER ME DAMN IT!" He thumbed on the table causing almost all the warm soup to spill over me.
Everyone's eyes turned around here.
"Here, I put you in an expensive school, working hard to pay for it and this is what you give?" He hissed angrily.
Even the waiters were scared to come towards us at this point.
I started to sob again in front of strangers. "I told you I'm trying."
"TRYING IS NOT ENOUGH! I NEED RESULTS!" He thumped over again and sat down.
"Waiter. Bring the main course." He ordered one of them.
