"Ooo, that's a strong one you've ordered there," A young guy sat beside me.

I ignored him and gulped up the mix.

"Big problem? Let me guess. Fight." He glanced at my wedding band. "Big fight with husband."

I smiled at him weakly.

"You're a cute guy. But I have no energy to flirt or play games with you." I replied as I gulped down another.

"Ugh, flirt with you? This isn't sweet home Alabama." He said with a disgusted face.

I glanced at him sideways. "I'm too old for this." I got up.

He caught hold of my hand. "Wait. I'm for real. I've been trying to reach you. I didn't want to scare you on that duck pond and drown you."

I let go of my hand in a snap.

"I don't want anymore bullshit today."

"Han Jin Yi. Emigrated to states at 13 with your parents."

I stared at him for few seconds. He did have a touch of familiarity.

"I'm your half brother. Jiwan. My father never told me about the other family. I just recently discovered this,"

"You're not supposed to be here then. You're underage." I tried to leave for good but he stood in front of me.

"I'm just 8 years younger than you. And I was the reason father came to States. He was two timing."

I suddenly threw an angry punch on his face. He was still standing there only, his hand over his cheek in little bit of shock.

"I remember. That's the time he was oddly happy, at the same time he.....started to not care about me....he forgot my birthdays....he forgot parent teacher meetings...he would thrash me for simplest mistakes."

"Really? He wasn't like that to me."

My face fumed with fury.

"Why're you here? What do you want from me? Organ? Bone marrow? Money?"

He looked sad. "I just wanted to meet you. I always wanted a sibling. And here you are."

"Money it is." I checked my wallet.

He let out an annoyed sigh and pulled out a black platinum card.

"You still think I need money? You're a police officer. Can't you even guess properly?"

"So you need help with your crime." I guessed the worst possible outcome.

"No. Look. Why don't I just take you out for dinner? We'll speak things out."

I sat down in a daze. The effects of alcohol were starting to finally kick in.

"You look too much red. Are you ok?" Jiwan asked concernedly.

"This will be over in seconds." I muttered as I examined a slick fork already arranged on the table and gazed into the beautiful night view the high end restaurant provided.

"I always wanted a younger brother." Words slipped out of my mouth.

"Well we have a common thing then." He chuckled. "I expected a younger half brother when I found the truth about our father. But older sister is better."

I looked at him, trying to focus.

"Look. It's been a long day for me. Just tell me what you want."

"Geez, just trying to bond with you."

"Is he dying?" I asked in disgust.

"Who?"

"Mr Han."

"Oh...no. He's healthy as ever. He'll live at least a 100."

"Your mom's rich? The black card?"

He smiled. "She's the Vice chairwoman of S&H group. I'm practically the heir in line."

I wanted to beat the crap out of him. But I held off my anger and jealousy.

"How did Mr Han ever seduce your mom? He's fucking ugly."

"Well you mostly look like him." He drank in his classy wine as I gritted my teeth.

He slowly pulled out a diary and turned to a page attached with a photo.

It was a photo of a man who looked like he could be on the runway anytime soon.

"Calm down. Look at this. I meant it as a compliment." He grinned.

He turned to the next page with a photo of younger me and my father who had now miserably grown all ugly in this one. Maybe it was because of all the sins he had committed by now.

"Ah. I remember this." I glided my finger across the photo where I was gleaming happily with a big trophy with my teammates.

"It was the first time our elementary school won inter school tournament in basketball finals. I was crazy about it. But it was the last time I touched the ball. He said that no one likes girls who play basketball."

"He's starting to sound like a real dick now." He replied.

"Look, what do you want?" I asked again.

He smiled at me oddly. "My sister, NYPD sergeant. That gives me bonus points doesn't it?"

I leaned back, "I'm not your sister. Well legally and I'm not gonna help you with anything."

"You helping me?" He laughed.  "I'm the one who's helping you out here."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Jay, haven't you noticed something?"

"Please don't beat around the bush." I said with more irritation pouring into my head.

"You're pregnant."

"I'm sorry. One more time?" I leaned in jokingly.

"You're pregnant with twins." He said with a very corny sweet voice.

I quickly grabbed his collar and started punching on his face, treating that godawful evil looking face like a sandbag.

Jiwan's bodyguards pulled me away from him and pined me down to the ground.

"Careful now, I don't want the babies to get hurt," He stood up, still managing to smile after the blows I gave him.

@lutune thank you so much for giving me a ⭐️ again. It means so much motivation to continue writing more during my free time instead of binging random YouTube videos.

Lately I've been too much stressed because of an upcoming important exam. Maybe that's why the story's taking a much darker turn. Also me writing is a form of stress busting. So prepare for a roller coaster ride!

Either way I hope you like the chapter and give 🌟 for the same reason.

Love ya Teddymellows 💕🐻🧸
