To have love was to be filled with constant joy even in the midst of arduous trials and difficult tests. Love was something that was so special and yet, thought to be seen more often than it actually was. Love wasn't something that boasted of itself, it never spoke highly of itself, and it never paraded it's love around as if it were merchandise. Love was humble and it was meek. Love was gentle and love was benign. Love was enduring, believing, hopeful, and strong. Love was true and pure, love was selfless, and love is still all of these things today. This love was abounding in the marriage of Gabriel and Jasmine.
Gabriel knew with a certain certainty that Jasmine was surely the woman made for him and that he was the man surely created for Jasmine. He loved her so purely and so altruistically. He didn't lust after her with a lewd perversion as he did with Julia in their dreadful marriage. He didn't pretend that he loved her, and he didn't fake his affection like he did with his relationship with Sandra. He was honest in this relationship, it was selfless, it was beautiful. He thought nothing of himself, and he did everything for the benefit of Jasmine.
Jasmine was the same. She honored Gabriel greatly. She kissed him often and loved him tenderly. She was benevolent and reverent towards Gabriel. She was truly a wonderful helpmate that helped him grow and mature, she wasn't odious or unpleasant. She was humorous and industrious; she was prudent and thoughtful. She was just as selfless as her husband and did everything for the benefit of him.
It was a lovely marriage. It was a true marriage, a marriage abounding in love and truth. This is the story of Gabriel and Jasmine.
