He asked me why I did what I did . I looked up at him , blew the last puff of breath and replied

"It's not about living forever, it's about creating something that will , and trust me , they'll remember."

My hands working quickly on the knots. I was sweaty and tired but determined to get out of this chair. I would have easily flipped and broken the old wooden thing, but he had bound my feet together as well.

"Sin you gotta know there's better out there for you then this , hell you don't even want this life ." He seemed determined to make me leave. He begged me with his eyes to see reason.

I took a deep breath and kept trying to free my arms saying ,

" I've been married to this game a long time, ain't no cheating it ."

"I can help you , both of you."

"Don't fix what's not broken King . "

"Damn it Kai , I don't understand why you choose this life !"

I looked up at him . Eyes hard voice soft

"Because, I've only ever known this. Bad is what I'm good at. "

I was free, my hands were loose and all I needed was an exit.

"Baby I'm right here , you just have to trust me."

Trust him ? He kidnapped her and has a gun to my head.

"You've been holding the gun this whole time , I'm unprotected."

"Give me the bullets." He replied .

There was a hidden message going on between us. I had already given him the gun, given him my heart , I couldn't allow him the bullets, the chance to crush it .

Her life depended on me.

Mars stepped behind him and I closed my eyes. The man I truly loved was here to take me home.

King whipped around all to quickly and shots are fired. I'm up and running until I look down and see blood.

I can't die here, I don't deserve to lie here, I don't want to say goodbye here.

My baby is in danger, I need to get to my daughter.

Mars is scooping me into his arms and I'm falling limp by the second.

"Baby, my baby."

It's a barely audible whisper but Mars's grip tightens and he says

"Just hang on love, I'll get you to our daughter."

Our daughter he said, our daughter
