Later that evening, Tony sat up in bed, using Bree's phone to check on the damages in the tower. He stayed quiet so Bree could nap as long as she wanted.

It wasn't until her stomach growled that Bree woke up to see Tony on her phone. "Tony?"

"I'm right here honey." Tony said, quickly setting the phone aside to give her his full attention. "How are you feeling?"

"Better," she answered just as her stomach growled again. "Hungry."

"Do you want to go out there, or do you want dinner in bed?" Tony asked, ready to provide whatever she wanted and needed.

"I don't know," Bree answered. "I'm really comfortable right here."

"I will go get food for you then. Will you be alright for a few minutes?" Tony asked Bree.

She smiled up at him and nodded. "We will be fine. I might turn on the tv."

"Do you want anything specific?" Tony asked as he climbed out of bed.

Bree shook her head. "As long as it's not eggs I should be ok."

"I will be back soon." Tony promised. He leaned down and kissed her softly, then rested his hand on her stomach for a moment, before walking out.

Once Tony had gone, Bree found the tv remote and turned it on. The screen instantly filled with footage of New York and all of the damage that took place. It made Bree want to cry.

Tony returned fifteen minutes later with two bowls of salad. "May made these for us."

Bree sat up in bed and wiped her eyes. "Oh, that was nice of her." She took one bowl from Tony and sat it in her lap.

Tony looked over at the tv and sighed. He took the remote and turned it off. "Come on honey. You don't need to see those images right now." He said softly, climbing back into bed with her.

"Nothing else was on," she murmured, then sighed. "So many things were destroyed. How did our home make it?"

"I just don't want you stressing yourself and our little one." Tony said, genuinely concerned. "Part of the tower was destroyed, but it was mainly the higher floors. The living areas are suitable to return to, but we don't have to go back until you're ready."

Bree nodded, messing around with her salad. "Whose house are we in now?"

"This is Rhoady's safe house. We can use it as long as we need." Tony answered.

"Does he know we're here?" Bree asked as another thought suddenly came to her mind. "Did May's apartment survive?"

"He does. Jarvis informed him the moment you cleared the city." Tony told Bree. "May's side of town was hardly affected. The worst is some power outages from the damaged power lines."

"I'm glad they still have a home to go to," Bree replied. "Others won't be so lucky."

"I know they won't, but we are helping with that. Don't worry." Tony said truthfully.

Bree ate about half of her salad before she sat it on the nightstand beside her. "Will they need you anymore?"

"No, I'm done and I made that clear. I will help with money and resources, but I'm not leaving you again." Tony promised.

She turned and kissed his cheek. "I love you, Tony. I don't know all of what happened yesterday but I'm glad you're here with me."

"Trust me, you don't want to know. But I am back here with you, where I belong." Tony said truthfully.

Bree furrowed her brow. "Tony? Are you hiding something?"

"No, I just don't think seeing all of the details would be good for your stress." Tony said, mentally including the part where he carried the nuke into space through the alien portal.
