The next morning, May brought in breakfast and the medications from the pharmacy. She quietly set the tray on the bedside table, then turned to leave the room.
Feeling Tony move beside her, Bree opened her eyes to see May, making her smile. "Hi," she murmured.
"Good morning. How are you feeling?" May softly asked as she turned back to look at her.
"I'm okay," she murmured. "I'm sorry we holed ourselves in here yesterday."
"Don't apologize, you both need time to recover." May said, not upset at all. "How is Tony doing?"
Bree looked over at Tony, who was still asleep. "He's pretty sore. I imagine it will take a few weeks for him to feel normal again."
"How bad are the injuries to his ribs?" May asked, this being the first chance she had to really ask.
"Bruised with a possible crack in one," Bree answered. "It's hard for him to move around."
"Rib injuries are some of the most painful." May told Bree. "Moving around some is good though. Maybe you can get him to come out for meals? For a start." She suggested.
Bree nodded. "I can try. I might see if I can get him to stretch a little too."
"Men are so stubborn when injured. It's like they turn back into babies." May softly chuckled. "He will feel better if he moves around a bit."
"I think so too," Bree agreed. "I will let him know when he wakes up. Thank you for breakfast."
"Let me know if you need anything." May said with a smile, then she turned and left the room.
Bree sighed softly and looked over at Tony once the door closed. She smiled at seeing him looking so relaxed and carefree. It was a good look for him.
Tony tried to turn, but the soreness woke him. He smiled when he saw Bree watching him. "Good morning, beautiful." He said, then looked around. "I smell bacon."
She giggled and nodded towards the tray. "May brought breakfast in for us."
"That was nice of her." Tony said, before he leaned in for a kiss. "How are you feeling?"
"Mmm," she smiled as he pulled away. "Good. But I could be better if I had another kiss."
"I think I can arrange that." Tony grinned, then leaned in for a lasting kiss.
Bree giggled against his lips, reaching up to cup the side of his face before reluctantly pulling away. "How do you feel?"
"About the same as before." Tony admitted.
"I think you need to eat, take your meds, and maybe stretch a bit to loosen your muscles." Bree climbed off the bed and grabbed Tony's discarded shirt before putting it on.
"Stretching sounds unnecessarily painful." Tony muttered, slowly sitting up.
"If you eat and take your medicine it won't be as bad. You could even stand in the shower for a bit first," Bree said softly as she sat on the edge of the bed.
"The shower sounds nice." Tony agreed. "What are the chances I could talk you into joining me?"
Bree smiled as she reached for one of the thermoses of coffee and took a sip from it. "Oh, I'd wager that you could talk me into it. Do I get anything out of it?" Her libido had gone up since she'd started having pregnancy symptoms, and she knew Tony would enjoy the benefits of it.
Tony thought about it for a moment, considering the pain in his ribs. "We can try anything you'd like." He answered, knowing he wouldn't deny her.
She raised an eyebrow at him in curiosity. "Honey. I don't want to hurt you anymore than you already are."
