Chapter Thirty

Bree and Tony spent the rest of the evening spending time with May and Peter out by the pool. It was after dark before any of them even thought about going back inside. "Whew, I got a bit of sun," Bree commented as she looked down at herself, standing in the living room.

"That will turn into a nice tan." Tony commented.

"I'm hungry." Peter commented.

"After I burn," Bree murmured before turning to Peter. "What do you want to eat?"

"Can we have McDonald's? Please?" Peter asked, giving Bree his most endearing look.

"Did you already ask your aunt that question?" Bree replied. "If she told you no, I'm not going to say yes, Pete."

Peter shook his head. "I didn't ask because I wasn't hungry till now."

"What would you like?" Bree asked. "I can have Jarvis order for all of us."

"I like nuggets." Peter told her with a big smile.

"Nuggets for you then. Fries too? A happy meal?" Bree asked, making sure.

"Yes please!" Peter said happily. "With a toy!"

Bree chuckled before making the order with Jarvis as she walked into the kitchen, wrapped in a towel. "Go get your pjs on Pete. We can all watch a movie when the food gets here okay?"

"Can I help pick the movie?" Peter asked as he got down off the couch.

"After you get changed," Bree replied, now noticing that Tony was watching her fondly.

"Yay!" Peter said happily before running off to get changed.

"You're really good with him." Tony said softly.

Bree walked over to Tony and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Do you think so? Good enough for one of my own?" she asked softly.

"Definitely good enough for one of your own." Tony said softly before pulling Bree into a soft kiss.

"How is the new reactor doing?" May asked, both out of genuine curiosity and to remind them of her presence.

Bree turned, staying in Tony's embrace. "Amazing," she answered. "It's like he was never sick at all."

"That's incredible, and my little Peter helped." May said proudly.

"He's a brilliant child," Bree praised.

"He's brilliant enough to impress me." Tony admitted.

Bree grinned. "Both of us are enthralled with him. It'll be a bit empty here once you go home."

"We will come visit as we're able to." May promised.

"I know. Plus, Tony is planning to look at a building in New York, so we'll see how that plays out," Bree said.

"Which building? Peter would love to have you both closer." May said truthfully.

"I would have to look at the ones Tony's interested in again," she answered. "I know one is a large tower."

"I think I know which one is, and they will sell quickly and for cheap. They want to avoid foreclosure." May told them.

Bree smirked. "If I know my husband, he won't have a problem," she chuckled. "We'll find one if we decide to move."

"I don't think he'll have a problem. I was just passing on some information." May chuckled.

"No problem," Bree smiled, then shivered. "I don't know about you, but I need to get out of this wet suit. I'm freezing."
