Two weeks later, Tony walked into the bedroom to look for Bree. He carried with him the new box of pregnancy tests that had just arrived, hoping it was the last time they would need to order them. "Honey? You in here?"

Bree looked up from her laptop, sitting on the balcony, having been typing away at Tony's business emails that he was neglecting, while also chatting with Coulson. She'd been wanting to see if everyone was alright.

Tony walked out onto the balcony a minute later and sat next to Bree in the other chair. He waited patiently for her to finish her conversation.

"Coulson says hi," she said happily. "Things are tense at his work. Apparently one of the team's been kidnapped."

Tony rolled his eyes at the mentioned greeting. "Who was taken?" He asked curiously.

Bree quickly typed out the question. "Umm... Hawkeye. Apparently this Loki person used his staff to control him."

"That's unfortunate. They can handle getting him back though." Tony shrugged.

She turned and narrowed her eyes at him. "He's asking for advice."

"Has he tried asking Fury?" Tony suggested.

"Fury is rallying the rest of the team together to try and go after them," she answered.

"Good. Everything will be fine." Tony assured her.

Bree sat back in her chair, just now noticing the plastic bag that Tony had sat on the table. "Are those the tests that came in from Jarvis?" she asked.

"Yes they are. I think it's time we test again, isn't it?" Tony asked Bree.

"It's barely within the window," she smiled. "It's also better to test first thing in the morning." Bree looked at Tony and reached out to take his hand. "Excited to see?"

Tony gave Bree's hand a gentle squeeze. "Is it still too early to test? I hate the waiting and not knowing." He muttered.

"My period didn't come this month. I just wanted to wait a couple more days, but I can test a little early if you want," she replied.

"Will the test be accurate if you test early?" Tony asked curiously.

"There's a fifty-fifty chance," she answered. "If it's negative, it could be a false negative."

"I guess we will wait a few days then." Tony sighed.

"Awe, honey. I can test in the morning. If it's negative, I'll test again in three days." She got up only to sit in his lap and wrap her arms around him. "I'm excited too. I just don't want to get our hopes too high."

"No, you should wait. I don't want a negative from it being too early." Tony said, not wanting to admit how disappointed he felt each time the tests were negative.

Bree reached out and cupped Tony's cheeks. "Baby, it will happen. Sometimes it just takes time, that's all."

"That's what I keep telling you." Tony chuckled before pulling her into a kiss.

She chuckled and nipped at his bottom lip as she kissed him back. "Then heed your advice," she said softly. I'll test in the morning. Maybe we'll be surprised.

"It is literally impossible for one to take one's own advice." Tony said with a grin.

"Why?" she laughed. "It's not impossible."

"Have you ever taken your own advice?" Tony asked curiously.

Bree shrugged. "On the rare occasion, I have. Mostly about eating better."
