AVENUE

343 10 2

I walked with each breath,
As I struggled with suffocation of destiny in the avenue.
I choked on my emotions,
And my lungs collapsed as the air grew thin.
Before my hope slips away,
As I grasp in vain.
Fire wasn't rising like a champion.
I was forced to walk in this suffocating alley.
I tried to push out pain like a woman in labor,
But as I tried to breathe in and out,
I found no error.
I walked back on the avenue with dead butterflies.
As I was lost within a tragic state,
I walked with a torch in the avenue.
