Tanya's POV

The next day was calm and nothing too drastic happened. We got to practice and had a game between the first years and second years. We all were trying, kagami, i found out his name wasn't playing as a team player. This behavior reminded me of someone, but I couldn't place who. As the game progressed they started triple teaming him. "Kuroko." I said right next to him and he looked at me surprised. "I see you haven't lost your touch, but what's up?" He said and i smiled. "I told you i remembered basketball, but lets show them what we can do." I said showing my game face.

He smiled and nodded as we all had a breather, Kagami was getting rough with some of the other first years. I was about to intervene when kuro came up and hit the back of kagami's knees. This got him pissed off trying to hit kuroko, but kuro dodged. I sighed knowing that this will get to be a usual thing that goes on. I took a glance to Riko and saw she had a shocked face staring at kuroko. 'I guess she forgot he was playing' i thought with a big sigh knowing he still hasn't changed. We got back to the game and i saw kuroko looking at me, and i nodded knowing he was ready to show what we can really do. "Excuse me, but could you maybe pass the ball to me." He said and started to get ready.

The ball began passing almost by itself, yet i knew better. I saw him get ready for another pass so i started running getting ready, and i guess Izuki saw me so started after me. I remembered moves from middle school and heard the ball coming towards me, so i stopped and dodged Izuki in time, then grabbed the ball and dribbled to the hoop dodging left and right of all the second years. I jumped up right next to the hoop and dunked it in earning us a point, and surprised looks from all the boys, except one, kuroko was smiling.

We kept playing and having fun, i had nearly forgotten what it felt like to have so much fun while playing. I'm glad i joined, now kuroko and i are at his favorite restaurant eating. I had two small burgers a fry and a milkshake while kuroko had just his vanilla milkshake. I saw in the waiting line kagami ordering a tray full of burgers, and i saw walking towards our table. When he sat down he started eating, but got spooked by kuroko making him nearly choke. "Where did you come from?!" He asked still scared.

We talked for while till Kagami was done eating, then left the restaurant. As we walked he kept asking us about the other generation of miracles and we would fair against them. "You would be destroyed. On the other hand you wont have to face the strongest of us." Kuroko said which made kagami stop and get confused. "Wait what do you mean i wont face the strongest one?! Who is the strongest?!" He said nearly yelling. Kuroko looked towards me, and that caught kagami's attention making him react, "wait she's the strongest?!!? How is that possible, she didn't do anything different than any of us at practice?!?" Making me flinch for how loud he was.

"Yes she is the strongest, but I wouldn't face her right now she does have doctors notes to obey." Kuroko said walking with me leaving kagami behind us. I could hear him running after us and slowed down as he caught up. Awhile later we got to my little house and i waved them goodbye and headed in.

Kuroko's POV

Kagami and I watched Tanya enter her house, and he then asked me a surprising question. "So what did you mean by doctors? And also do you have a crush on her?" I jolted slightly at the last one, but started walking away. "H-hey!! Answer me!!" He yelled "Tanya is the strongest miracle, because she has beat all the others, and has the highest record of points under her belt." I said and he looked surprised. "How many?" "Her highest points that she has gotten in a game was 200, but that was in the last game she played of middle school, and before the accident." I responded and his jaw dropped. "That can't be real!! Wait you said before the accident? What accident?" I stopped when he said all that and turned to face him

"Tanya put herself into a coma, from forcing her body too far that it shut down her entire body including her mind making her wake up with amnesia." I said sadly he looked at me upset then looked down. "So she doesn't remember, but that can't be right she acts like she's known you her whole life?" He asked and i answered. "That's because her memories of me came back, and the more i told her about me again the more she remembered. Though I can't say it'll be the same for the others. They are very different." We talked for a bit longer till we parted ways.

I promised myself when i went to see her in the hospital that i would protect her, because I couldn't forgive what happened to her. She didn't deserve such pain, but yet all the others didn't care what happened. The only who did was momoi, and I'll actually have to tell her that she's awake but no memory. When I arrived home that's what I did. I texted momoi about Tanya, and she instantly replied saying that she wants to help as well, but will help when it's right for Tanya. I laid on my bed just staring at the ceiling. "I promise Tanya you will have your memories back, we will be the best in Japan." I said before falling asleep.

Kagami's POV

When I got home I couldn't help but think of everything kuroko said. Tanya is the strongest player, but can't remember her own past just because of one game. I started to look her up in basketball monthly and on the web. I found a full two pages about her in a basketball monthly and I found several games record online. I read everything and now I'm watching the last game that was recorded, and all I'm gonna say is it's brutal. The only players who aren't exhausted are Tanya's teammates and herself. I got to the last bit of it and saw her jump, and I was shocked that a girl like her was able to do that but there was more the end of the recording had them walking off the court. Tanya didn't she fell and fell hard.

I couldn't believe all videos I saw and read. She really was strong just as middle schooler, and yet she had that accident and is now back to walking, running, and jumping in practice like nothing happened what kuroko said must be true then. "She didn't remember anything but basketball, and when I said her name it triggered here memories of me and only further helped when she saw you and I play on that court when we first met." For such a strong player you wouldn't believe a past like that. "Someday I will challenge her, but I want her to play at her best." I said to myself smiling and got ready for tomorrow.
