The finishing quarter

Riko's POV

     In honesty i was surprised by Tanya, and her power. She was incredibly fast and even the starters couldn't keep up. "How hard do you think she's going?" Koganei asked and i sighed looking at her as she broke past kise again. "She's barely broken a sweat yet, besides she's keeping kise under her thumb like its nothing." I said as she dunked it again. "This is incredible she's keeping them at bay and even helping the others making it look a lot smoother than its been in awhile." Koganei said making me actually realize it too. I saw that number four on Kaijo get nervous and kise is getting on edge. 

  *whistle blows* Kaijo time out

Kasamatsu's POV

    We walked back to our benches, and i sat down drink from my water bottle. "Damn, she is strong how are we suppose to beat her. I mean even kise is struggling to keep up with her." Coach said glancing at her and she was still standing while drinking. I looked towards kise and saw him staring at her with a weird look in his eyes. i punched his side making him whine and her glance to us. "Why are you staring at her like that. It's starting to get creepy." I said to him and he tried faking a sheepish smile. "I-its just i haven't seen her play in so long. I kinda got distracted." He said rubbing where i punched. 'Unbelievable, he can't even admit he's got a crush. To be honest she is attractive, but its the fact of how well she plays that has me on edge.' I thought.

    "We need to block her double team her if needed we can't let her get past." I said to everyone as i stood up and looked over to see her already looking our way, and smiled. Her smile was so cute i looked away slightly embarrassed. 'No wonder why he likes her. She's the whole package.' I thought as the time out ended. We continued playing and it was a struggle, but we managed to slow her down. "You really are a captain, I'm surprise your able to keep him in check." She spoke as i blocked her and kise on the other side started pouting. "So mean Tanyachii." He said "well its true aside that you acted pretty cocky during middle school right? Plus you barely seen anything yet" she said while smirking, that there made both of us flinch. 

   She broke past us in an instant, and I couldn't believe how. 'She's nuts! How can she get past us  so simply?' I thought trying to catch up. As we continued we got half way through the last quarter and Seirin asked for a timeout. They switched her out and we started up again. Seeing her on the bench she looked tired, but yet not at all. She looked like she wanted to play more, but didn't want to ask. Kagami got put back in and so did that number 11, and just when we got use to him it was like he was back at full power.

   It was the last five seconds and we all raced for the ball, i got distracted and that gave Seirin the chance for the steal and the got to our basket i yelled at kise, "Don't let 'em through!!" He started to block, but they around him. The number 11 went into a shooting position, and kise said. "But kurokochii can't shoot-" he tried to shoot it "-he shot!?" "That's not it!" I started as and saw kagami jump. "-its an ally-oop!!" I finished. This game ended with Seirin being the winners and our team lost, and kise had the gull to start crying. I kicked him in his back a bit and said to look up the word revenge. As we got everything cleaned up i felt a tap on my shoulder. 

     I stood up seeing none of my teammates, but Tanya in front of me. "Kasamatsu is it? Ya got a sec?" She said and i was surprised, but we walked outside and she turned around to face me. "So what did you want to talk-" i started but i got caught off guard when she hugged me. I was so confused I didn't move. "Thank you for being there for kise. I know he can get over bearing at times and annoying, but he's a good guy at heart." She said as she let go of hugging me 'damn she was comfy, and is just the right size i wanted to hold on longer. Damn it no wonder kise has a crush on this girl.' I thought as everyone else was coming out she winked at me and went to her team.
