Emison: From the Beginning

Chapter 24: Ugh, Mona.

Emily, Hanna and Aria are sitting on the Hastings steps. Spencer and Alison are standing in front of them. Spencer just told them that she and Alison are sisters.

Emily: She's your what?

Alison: We're sisters!

Aria: Whaaaaat? That is so crazy!

Spencer: I know! Who would've thought?

Hanna: Now that I think about it, you guys do kind of look alike. The eyes and the lips.

Emily: How exactly are you two sisters?

Alison: We have the same dad but different moms.

Emily: Mr. DiLaurentis is your father, Spencer?

Spencer: No. My father and Ali's father is the same person.

Hanna: Mr. Hastings is the father of you, Melissa and Ali?

Alison: And Jason.

Hanna: Him too? Wow. Your dad really got around, Spence.

Spencer: Hanna, shut up.

Aria: Who's Jason?

Alison: My older brother.

Aria: How old are you Ali?

Alison: I'm sixteen. I'll be seventeen at the end of March.

Hanna: You two are like a week apart. How did that happen?

Spencer: Long story short, he cheated on my mother with her mother, didn't tell my mother, went back to Cambridge and then I was born nine months later.

Alison looks down at the ground.

Spencer: But good comes out of some bad situations. I have a sister who is the same age as me. And we're already best friends!

Spencer wraps her arms around Alison. She starts smiling.

Hanna: That's awesome. I wish I had a sister.

Emily: You kind of do have a sister.

Hanna: First of all, she's not my sister. And I mean one that I actually like.

A few seconds pass. Hanna and Aria walk down the steps.

Aria: We will see you guys on Sunday.

Hanna: Bye guys, love you!

Spencer: Wait, where are you guys going.

Hanna: Mona invited us to an all girls weekend in Philadelphia.

Spencer: Ugh, Mona.

Hanna: I told her to invite you but she said no.

Spencer: Good. I don't want to go anyway. Bye guys, love you too.

Alison & Emily: Bye!

Aria walks home and Hanna walks across the street.

Spencer: Well, I guess it's just us.

Alison: Why didn't you go with them, Em?

Emily: My dad came home today and so did my sister!

Alison: Oh yeah! I am so happy for you!

Spencer: Me too!

Emily: Thanks guys!
