Learned to Love (matheoriddlexreader)

36:Third task

  I was laying in my bed with Riley laying across my back staring at the ceiling.  We were waiting for everyone to get back in the dorm so we could go watch the third task.

     I didn't really want to go but they all said that I had to because  it was important or some shit.  I didn't argue though I just sighed and agreed.

Riley was playing on his phone and I was just thinking and staring at the ceiling.  Riley started sighing drastically as if he was trying to get my attention.  I look over to him and he's sitting up.  “Y/N i need to tell you something.”  He says to me,  I sit up and look at him waiting for him to tell me.

“I think I might be Bi”  He says looking down.  I look at him and immediately start smiling.  “I just wanted to tell you because you're part of my family.”  He says, still looking down.  I place my finger under his chin and gently make him look at me.

“Did you think I would love you any less?   I mean you know how much I love Jake. Did you really think it would make me think anything different of you? I still love you.”  He smiles at me before engulfing me in a hug.

“I guess I was pretty stupid for thinking you would think any less of me”  I laugh at him and continue hugging him.  After a while he finally pulled back and looks at me.

“So do you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend?”  I ask.

“Well i think Luna Lovegood the Ravenclaw is pretty cute but I also think Blaise Zabani is kinda hot”  He says to me.  I look at him and smile before nudging his elbow.

“So it's come down to a Ravenclaw and a Slytherin?”  I ask  he nods before I say “Aw my baby Riley is taking after me and going after the Slytherins.”  He looks at me wide eyed before bursting out in laughter.  I start laughing as well.  

Me and Riley were laughing so hard to the point where we ended up on the floor even though it wasn't that funny.  I hear someone open the door to my door taking in the sight.

I hear a small chuckle before I hear the voice that matches it.  “Get your asses up, it's time to head to the third task”  I hear Jacob say.  I stand up slowly wiping the tears from my eyes as Riley does the same.  Jacobs smiles at us and interlocks our hands.  I smile at him and we start walking out.

After about five minutes of walking we are joined by Dalton, Jessica and Lily.  I moved from my spot next to Jacob and get on Dalton's back as we head to the place where the task is taking place.  I found a seat with the rest of our group including Fred and George.  I look around for Matheo but I soon find him two rows in front of me.  He turns around and very slightly smiles at me.  I return the favor and he turns back to what's happening.  

The third task was a maze of some sorts that changes as you go through it.  All of the champions head in one by one and the rest of the schools were watching from the stands.  Viktor gets injured or something and gets pulled out of the maze.  The girl Fleur or something also gets pulled out.  The only two champions left in the maze now are my brother and Cedric.  They make drastic turns as animals chase them and the walls of the maze close in on them.  They find the cup and argue about who's gonna grab it, each insisting the other does.  

Finally they grab the cup together and disappear.  “It was a port key”  I say out loud to no one in particular.  The two boys dont show up for a while.  It's been like thirty minutes before both of the boys appear in the middle of all of the stands.  The band starts playing before some girl screams and people realize there is something wrong.

I hear a man scream “That's my son, that's my boy” and that's when I realize that cedric was dead.  Seeing the man run to his son and grab him and doesn't let go.  This stirs something inside of me and I can't control myself when I feel myself running into the yard to my brother and the poor boy.
