(Now the story below) (trigger warning-talks of self harm and suicide.)
I walk out of the dorm and down the hallway. I get to the common room and walk straight out. I walk out of the castle. I am literally just walking around. After a couple of minutes I stop at the edge of the forest and sit on the ground crying silently to myself.
I make a barricade around me with air as my eyes turn white. Why would he tell them that? I ask myself. He shouldnt have done that. I hear leaves crunching and see the whole group including theo but not the twins in front of my little bubble.
“Princess please let us in. We need to talk.” I hear Jake say to me. I see Theo roll his eyes when Jake calls me princess.
“Go away” I shout back “I have nothing to say” I continue.
“Y/N please. We really should talk about it.” I hear Theo say. I just stay silent. After about ten minutes of everyone telling me to let them in I finally give and bring down the barrier. Once they walk closer i make a water version of the barricade I just had and freeze it so no once could see or hear us.
Theo comes over to me and sits down. He pulled me into his lap and places his head on my back while the rest of the group circles us. “I’m sorry Y/N it wasnt my place to tell them what you said.” he says into the fabric of his shirt. It was just then I realised I was still only wearing his shirt with underwear.
“You are right it wasnt your place but since you said it I should explain.” I say beach to him.
“Well basically I met Aidan a year after I moved in with my fake family. I was only nine and hated my life. Every second of it. I was cutting and starving myself then Aidan came along. He saw the marks on my arm and asked me what it was. I freaked out and told him it was cat scratches. But you all know Aidan he didnt believe it for one second.” I say and laugh lightly at the last part.
“He asked if we wanted to be friend since he didnt have any at the time and I said yes thinking it wouldnt last. But it lasted and he turned out being one of the best people in my life. He helped me stop cutting by telling me he would be my reason to stop.” I say starting to cry again.
Theo tightens his grip on my and plants a kiss on my back for comfort. “He pulled me out of my darkest times and is the only reason I held on until I met you guys. He was the only one that knew and respected that I didnt want others to know. He promised he’d take it to the grave and he did. When we lost him I lost someone so important I could barley stand to live anymore. I thought about just ending it to be with him but I remembered I have you and you wouldnt be able to take losing both of us.” I’m sobbing at this point.
“And I’m really glad I held on because I got closer to you all and I met the twins and I met Theo.” I finish. Jake scoots closer to me and gently pulls me off of Theo.
“I love you and I really wish you would have told us. But I do respect your wishes and wont bring it up unless you want me to.” He says to me. As he says this i hear everyone else agree. The others scoot over and join us now we are all having a big group hug with everyone crying. I look up to see Theo with glossy eyes. I pull away from everyone and go back over to him.
“I meant what I said I really care about you too.” I whisper in his ear as I hug him. I dhiver and he must have noticed because he took off his jacket and wrapped me in it. It smelled like cigarets and books just like he does. It was comforting.
We all talked for what seemed like hours in our tiny little ice bubble before everyone decided we should go inside. As I stood up getting ready to drop the barricade I see something unexpected. “It was nice to meet you make sure you take care of her when I’m not here. And if you ever hurt her weather it is intentional or not ill kill you but you do seem like a good kid” Jake says as he shakes Theo’s hand.
I get back to the dorm as everyone else goes to dinner and get a text from Theo.
