MADMAX

"Tristan? Tristan, do you copy? I've got four quarters. what's your haul?" Tristan heard Dustin ask on the radio as he was reading a comic book.
Tristan grabbed the radio
"I don't have a haul. I need to get braces again" he replied
"What? Seriously?" Dustin asked, disappointed "You just got them removed last year"
"Yeah, I know, but they took the bottom ones off when they weren't supposed to. It was a different dentist filling in for my regular one" Tristan explained
"I'll see you tomorrow, then. Over and out"

Tristan, Dustin, Lucas, and Mike were biking to school together
"Someone beat our high score in dig dug" Dustin told Tristan
"What? Really? Who is it?" Tristan asked. He was surprised because nobody has beat Dustin and Tristan high score on dig dug. They use the same name in dig dug.
"We don't know. Stupid Keith won't tell us" Lucas told the boy
"All we know is that they go by Mad Max" Mike told Tristan.

The children were in Mr Clarke's class. Nobody was paying attention except for Tristan, Dustin, Lucas, Will, and Mike. All of a sudden the principal came in with a new student. She tried to go to her seat, but Mr Clarke stopped her.
"You don't get away that easy. Come on up. Don't be shy. Dustin, drum roll."
Dustin then closed his book and Drummed on it
"Class, please welcome, all the way from sunny California, the latest passenger to join us on our curiosity voyage, Maxine." Mr Clarke introduced Max
"It's Max" she corrected
"Sorry?"
"Nobody calls me Maxine. It's Max." Max told the teacher
"Mad Max" Lucas whispered
"Well, all aboard, Max." Mr Clarke said.
Max then went to her seat. All 5 boys watched as she sat in her seat.

"There's no way that's Mad Max" Mike told the party
"Yeah. Girls don't play video games" will said
"And even if they did, you can't get 750,000 points on Dig Dug. It's impossible" mike said
"But her name is Max" Lucas said
"So what?"
"So, how many maxes do you know?" Lucas asked
Mike thought for a moment
"I don't know" he shrugged
"Zero. That's how many." Lucas said.
"Yeah. And she shows up at school the say after someone with her same name breaks our top score. I mean, you kidding me?" Tristan said, siding with Lucas.
"Exactly. So she's gotta be Mad Max. She's gotta be" Lucas said
"And plus she skate boards, so she's pretty awesome" Dustin added
"Awesome?" Mike repeated
"You haven't even spoken a word to her" Tristan told Dustin.
"I don't have to" Dustin told the jealous boy "I mean, look at her. Shit, I've lost the target"
"Oh! There" will told the boys.
They all looked at max. She was throwing something out. They all ran up to the garbage.
The kids made Tristan look in the garbage. And he could swear he felt Dustin staring at him.
Tristan found the thing she threw out
"Got it" he said, getting out of the trash "there we go." He unfolded the piece of paper
"Stop spying on me, Creeps" they all read.
"Well, shit" Dustin said
Then will got called away from the group to go to his therapy. Joyce paid for Tristan's therapy since it was too much for Steve, but Will and Tristan had it in separate days. And if Steve thought that Tristan was getting worse, Steve had to call Hopper. Hopper also meets Joyce at the lab when she takes Tristan and Will to therapy. Joyce is actually Steve and Tristan aunt, so that makes Will byers Tristan and Steve's cousin. People are suprised when they tell them that. They look nothing alike. Joyce is more like a mother to them than anything because their mum doesn't do much. At one point, they lived with Joyce, Will, and Jonathan.
The 4 boys watched as joyces car drove away.

Dustin, Tristan, and Lucas were waiting outside the arcade to see if max was Mad Max
"Still no sign?" Tristan asked
"Jack shit." Lucas replied.
Dustin looked at his watch "oh! Damn it. My mom's gonna murder me and Tristan"
"So go home. I'll radio if she comes" Lucas replied
"Oh, yeah, nice try. You just want us out of here so you can make your move." Dustin said
"Oh, cause you're such a threat." Lucas rolled his eyes
"That's right. He- She will not be able to resist these pearls" Dustin purred.
"Ten o'clock. Ten o'clock" Tristan told the 2 boys, shaking Lucas.
Lucas then looked through his binoculars. Max was fighting with the driver
"They're arguing. They're arguing." Lucas told the other boys
"Oh my god. We see that. I don't even know why you need those" Dustin said to Lucas "God. You're so stupid"

The children then ran across the street to the arcade window. Max was Mad Max.
"She's incredible" Lucas said
"She's.." Dustin said
"Mad Max" all boys said in unison.
Tristan didn't understand how Dustin and Lucas thought Max was incredible. Maybe it was because He didn't like girls and they did, or maybe he was just jealous because Dustin liked Max, he thought maybe he even had a crush on her. But he just pushed that aside.
He didn't really like her that much, but he wasn't surprised when they found out that she was max max.

The 3 boys were trying to get ahold of their friend.
"Try that channel he always goes on." Tristan told Dustin, and that's what he did.
"Mike?"
"Hello, is that you?" Mike asked
"Yeah, it's me, Dustin. What're you doing in this channel again? I've been trying to reach you all day. We were right. Max is Mad Max."
"Yeah, I'm busy" mike replied
"But--" then the radio turned off

"What do we do now?" Lucas asked
"We stick to the plan." Dustin told the boy
"Mike's not gonna like it" Tristan said
"Last time I checked, our party is not a dictatorship. It's a democracy." Dustin told Tristan.
"What if Max says no?" Lucas asked
"How can Max say no to these?" Dustin purred
"I told you to stop that."
"We'll see you later" Dustin said as him and Tristan biked up into Dustin's property
"Later" Lucas said

Tristan and Dustin Parked their bike Infront of Dustin's house. As they were walking up to Dustin's door, they heard something in the trash.
They thought it was mews, Dustin's cat
"Mews!" Dustin called. Mews didn't come out.
"Mews" Tristan called. Same thing. Tristan looked at Dustin "probably nothing."
"Yeah, you're probably right." Dustin said.
The boys then walked into Dustin's house.
