Steve had made Tristan a Ghostbusters costume. He was being Stantz for Halloween, Like Dustin. Dustin and Tristan argued until Mike agreed to let them both be Stantz.
Dustin, Tristan, Lucas and Mike sang the Ghostbusters theme song, and when Will met them, they all sang together. They greeted each other with their Ghostbusters names
"Whoa! Whoa!" Mike said, looking at Lucas
"What?" Lucas asked
"Why are you Venkman?"
"Because I'm Venman" Lucas replied
"No, I'm Venman" mike argued
"Why can't there just be 2 Venkmans like there's 2 Stantz's?" Will asked mike
"Because there's only 1 Venkman in real life. Plus Dustin and Tristan are stubborn. We planned this months ago. I'm Venkman, Dustin and Tristan are Stantz, You're Egon, and You're Winston." Mike replied
"I specifically didn't agree to Winston" Lucas told Mike
"Yes, you did" mike said
"I don't think he did" Tristan told the boy
"No one wants to be Winston, man." Lucas said. And Tristan agreed.
Dustin shook his head in agreement
"What's wrong with Winston?" Mike asked
"What's wrong with Winston?" Tristan repeated
"He joined the team super late, he's not funny, and he's not even a scientist!" Lucas told Mike
"Yeah, but he's still cool" mike said to dustin and Tristan
"If he's cool, then you be Winston" Lucas told Mike
"I can't!"
"Why not?"
"B-Because.."
"B-b-b-b-b-Because you're not black?" Lucas mocked Mike
"I didn't say that!"
"You thought it."

Then Lucas and Mike started arguing
"Guys... Guys! Guys!" Dustin yelled. All of the children looked over to see nobody wearing costumes
"Why is no one else wearing costumes?" Tristan asked
"Crap" Lucas whispered

As the kids walked down the hall, everybody stared at them, whispering, laughing, or making comments
"When do people make these decisions?" Dustin asked
"Everyone dressed up last year." Will said

"It's a conspiracy, I'm telling you" Tristan told his friends.
Dustin nodded in agreement
"Just be cool" mike told his friends
"Who you gonna call? The nerds!" They heard a boy ask.

As Tristan, Dustin, and Lucas were at their lockers, they saw Max riding her skateboard down the hallway. Dustin and Lucas looked at her like they just saw an angel
"We gonna do this?" Dustin asked Lucas.
"Not right now. We look like morons" Lucas told Dustin
"Maybe she likes Ghostbusters?" Dustin suggested
"Of course she likes Ghostbusters, but that's not the point. The point is... We're dressed up and she isn't." Lucas replied
"I didn't bring regular clothes. You?"
"No" Lucas replied.
"What about you, Tristan?" Dustin asked.
"No. Of course not" he replied
Dustin looked back at Lucas
"Then we have no choice. We gotta go this. It's now or never."
"Right" Lucas said
"Let's engage."
Then max shut her locker and walked away
"We could ask her after class."
"Yup" Lucas said.
Then all 3 boys walked to class

Jonathan dropped his brother and cousin off to go trick or treating with their friends. Tristan was sleeping over at Wills.

Joyce and Bob were dancing
"You playing Frankenstein to my Dracula?" Bob asked "Come on, you're stiff as a board. Relax."
"I'm sorry. It's..." Joyce replied
"They're fine. Okay? Jonathan's with them" Bob reassured the worried Mother/Aunt
She sighed "I know. It's just everytime Will's away from me or Tristan's away from Steve, it's like I can't function. I know it sounds silly"
"No, it's not silly. It's not silly." Bob replied
It was silent for a bit "what if we were to move out of Hawkins... Together?"
"What?" Joyce asked
"I know. Whoa, Nellie, right? No, I just... I've been thinking about what you just said. About how we've got all these memories here, and you wish you had enough money to move. Well, my parents selling their house in Maine. There's a RadioShack nearby. I'm sure they'd take me on. We could Take Steve and Tristan and just... My turn to be silly" bob explained
"Bob..."
"No, it's fine. Wine makes me crazy."
"Oh, it's just so hard to explain. It's just this... This is not a normal family." Joyce told Bob
"It could be" he replied "it could be."

As they were walking, Dustin was talking about how he can eat a whole bowl full of nougat. All of a sudden, someone In a Micheal Myers mask came out of nowhere and screamed at them.

They all screamed. Lucas and Tristan squealed. The kid took off their mask and it was just Max. She chuckled
"Holy shit! You should have seen the look on your faces" she said "and you two? Who screams like that? You sound like little girls." Max started walking away, but when she noticed the boys weren't following her she looked back at them and said, "Hey, you guys coming or not? Oh, I heard we should hit up Loch Nora. That's where the rich people live, right?"

Dustin, Lucas, and will instantly followed Max. Tristan and mike stayed behind.
Mike saw that Tristan looked upset, and figured it was because Max told him that he sounds like a little girl, and one thing he knows about trans guys is that they get really upset when they're called a girl or anything feminine, especially Tristan.
"You don't sound like a little girl. She's just being an asshole" mike told his friend.
Tristan looked over at Mike
"Are you sure?" Tristan asked
"Positive. Friends don't lie."

"Another full size. Like, seriously, rich people are such suckers." Dustin said. He then looked at Max "Wait. You're not rich, right?"
"No, I love up Old, Cherry Road" max replied
Then they all started talking. Tristan didn't pay attention.

Will started recording Mike and Tristan
"Did you guys agree to this?" Mike asked The cousins
"What?" Will asked
"To her joining our party." Mike clarified
"It's just for Halloween" Will told Mike
"They should have checked with me."
"Well, they were excited. I guess they thought you'd be okay with it."
"She's ruining the best night of the year" Tristan said under his breath as mike started speed walking.

While Will and Tristan slowly followed mike, some kids started shouting
"Watch it, Zombie boys!"
"Trick or treat, freaks"
"Boo!"

Will and Tristan fell, and all of a sudden they were in the upside down. They looked around and got up. They got up
"Mike?" Will called
"Dustin?" Tristan called
All of a sudden, they heard something chittering, then saw a shadow in the sky.
Tristan grabbed Wills arm and they ran away. They didn't know where they were going, but they ran. Then they hid. Tristan started hyperventilating.
"Will! Tristan!" They heard. It was Mike "Will, Tristan, what's wrong?"
Tristan looked around, confused. One moment he was in the upside down, and the next he was in Hawkins.
"I couldn't find you guys. Are you hurt?"
Then Dustin, Lucas, and Max came running down the stairs
"Holy shit!" Dustin said
"Are they okay?" Lucas asked, worried about their friends
"I don't know" mike replied "I'm gonna get you guys home, okay? I'm gonna get you home. Hold on" mike told the cousins, helping Will up first, then Tristan.
"Alright, take it easy" Dustin scowled as Mike helped Tristan up. "Let me stay with him"
"I got him" mike said
Dustin pulled the terrified boy out of Mikes arms
"No! You stay with Will, I'll stay with Tristan."

Dustin was worried about the boy who he may or may not love, and he didn't want Tristan's night to be ruined. Dustin was also over protective of Tristan. He was over protective of Tristan before he got taken to the upside down, but ever since he went missing, he's been more over protective of him.

Mike just rolled his eyes and walked away with Will.
And for the rest of the night, Dustin wouldn't leave Tristan's side. Dustin wouldn't even let go of Tristan's hand either. Lucas tried to tell Dustin that Tristan doesn't need Dustin to hold his hand like he's a little kid, but Dustin wouldn't listen to Lucas.

"Are you sure you don't want to come to my house for the night?" Dustin asked Tristan.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. thanks for spending Halloween with me" Tristan replied
Dustin then hugged Tristan. Tristan hugged him back.
Dustin really wanted to kiss Tristan, but didn't know how Tristan would react, so he didn't. But little did Dustin know, Tristan felt the same way.
