Locking eyes with the doctor for a moment he gave you a nod signifying that you could leave now. You didn't hesitate any further as you very quickly left the room.

You closed the doors behind you and stood still for a moment. Turning your head you looked down the empty halls and listened closely. What you heard was the sound of walking feet and groaning men. Not wanting to stick around long enough to run into anyone you went across the hall and quietly opened the door. With a bit of hesitance you peaked your head through the door to see if there was anything to worry about. Your eyes drifted across the room full of metal and tools yet saw no sign of life. You slowly opened the door just a little bit more and once again scanned to see if there was anyone. You put your full attention on looking in the room, hoping that maybe Engie would appear at one place or another. Just as you were about to step into the room though, a voice came from behind you.

"Whatcha doin darlin?" You jumped slightly and yet again disappeared in a cloud of black wisps and feathers. You appeared a few feet away and inside of the workshop. Your wings held a pitch black color as you tried to reorient yourself back into reality. Once you did you looked up to the door to see if there was any current threat to you. Realizing that it was Engie who had startled you, your fear immideately subsided and the black color of your wings and eyes quickly fade back to their neutral state. Engie stared in slight shock for a moment at what had just happened. Snapping himself out of it he shook his head and decided it would be best to just ignore it. It's not like he'd be able to explain it anyway.

"Sorry darlin, didn't mean ta startle ya...What're ya doin on your own?" He questioned with a genuinely confused tone. Knowing you wouldn't be able to tell him you walked back over to the door before pointing to the Medbay. Engie turned to see what you were pointing at and easily connected the dots.
"Oh...well then ah guess ya can hang out with me for a little bit. It ain't like Demos gonna fix up breakfast any tahme soon" Engie whispered the last part, though you were still able to hear it.

With a purposeful pep in his step Engie walked into the room and you quickly followed his lead. He stopped for a moment to look around, seemingly searching for something. When he landed on the desired item his eyes slightly lit up and he walked forward into the mess of a room only he was able to understand. Deciding that it might be dangerous to walk through there you stayed where you were, watching him with curious eyes. After a bit of movement he came back with a chair. He set it down before turning back to you.
"You can sit here for the tahme bein" You nodded before following the direction and sitting down in the chair. Once you were on the chair Engie went further into the room, probably to do what he came here to do which seemed to be searching for something once again. You quickly became bored of looking at him and decided to instead analyze whatever you could from the chair. Your mind quickly fell into your old routine when observing a new room.

There was a vent against a wall. Accessible but small. Emergencies only. There were plenty of weapons around the room, though most looked broken. The closest thing you were pretty sure you could use as a weapon would be a sharp piece of metal laying at your feet. It seemed dull enough to grab on one end and sharp enough to cause damage with the other. There were a few lights in the room, taking all of them out would be too difficult, making an escape in the dark impossible. You had a large door behind you, not something you ever want to have. You turned yourself on the chair so that you would be able to see if someone walked in. Just as you did though, you heard a loud bang followed by multiple screws and other small pieces of metal. You slightly jumped at the sound and quickly turned to see what had happened. Your eyes landed on Engie who was standing with rather tense posture, frozen in his place as he stared at the mess he just made. A few seconds later he let out a deep and obviously tired sigh.
