Breakfast went somewhat normally. Of course you didn't actually know what a normal breakfast looked like so you assumed what was happening was normal.

Your new normal you supposed...

Afterward people started to pick up their plates and, seeing as everyone was doing it, you followed their example. You took your plate to the weird metal hole they were putting it in and dropped it just the same as them. You took a few steps to get out of their way before realizing you had no idea what to do now. You looked around and saw some of the men leaving to someplace or another while others seemed to be staying. You looked around for some sort of answer, slight anxiety rising as you hoped to not do something wrong or go with the wrong person. Seeing this dilemma and needing something from you, Medic crouched to your height, possibly trying to come off as none threatening as possible. You looked to him, standing a little straighter in his presance as the memory of this morning came to mind.

"May I see ze paper from earlier?" Medic asked with an unreadable but calm expression. You hesitated for a moment, not really wanting to give away your method of communication. You ended up complying though, not wanting to upset the doctor. Once you did Medic quickly pocketed the book, not looking to draw the attention of any of the men leaving the room.

"It vould be best if jou stayed near somevone at all times. Catch up viz Heavy, he is probably ze safest to be around" he concluded. Heavy had only left a few seconds ago so you should be safe walking to him on your own. You nodded and, taking that as a sign of agreeance, he stood and walked back over to the two that seemed to have been waiting for him, the three of them quickly delving into a very serious conversation. Or at least that's what you assumed from their body language. Knowing better than to get involved when doctors and scientists talked about important stuff, you began to slowly leave the room.

Besides the three, you were the last to leave through those doors.

Once out in the hall you looked around a bit, noticing that everyone who left the room seemed to walk to the right. Most noticeably you saw the tallest among them, the one you were rightfully terrified of. Still, the doctor had told you to go with him and after what happened this morning you didn't want to disobey him. So you began to walk in the direction of the terrifying figure...

That was until something caught your eye...

It was a shadow, a simple wisp of black in your peripheral, but it was enough to catch your highly acute senses. You whipped your head around in the other direction, noticing a wisp like black figure. You narrowed your eyes a moment, wondering if you weren't seeing correctly. What caused your body to freeze though was when the wisp slowly brought a finger up to a wide, bright white smile. You didn't entirely know why, but simply looking at the creature made your skin crawl as your heart began to pick up the pace, bits of adrenaline slowly starting to pump through you. Your eyes began to delve into deeper shades of black, your wings slowly going with it. Your tried to anylize the creature, to find some bit of it that looked normal. All you ended up doing was increasing the speed of your heart as you found that the harder you tried to identify what this creature was, the more strange it became. The only thing that seemed to ground this thing in reality is it's bright white smile.

As you continued to stare at the creature you became less and less sure what you were supposed to do. Was it dangerous? Friendly? It didn't move, didn't speak, didn't try to harm you. Yet something about this creature made you sick to the core. What even was it? What did it want? Why didn't it come closer? Why was it smiling?
