The next morning, when Coralkit woke up her mother and siblings were leaving her behind as they went into the forest! Her brother, Pounce, turned around, "I'll miss you, Coral." He whispered.
Coralkit put her face in her paws. Suddenly she felt a warm tongue on her back. She looked up and whispered, "mama?" Then she realized it was the yellow cat, she started crying. But the yellow cat continued to lick her and whispered, "No, no. I'm not mama, but I am going to take care of you and train you to be a strong, noble Warrior. Coralkit simply nodded.
