It's still in Grian's pov

Grian had flown over to the Entity again and was sitting inside. He couldn't figure out what happened. Of course, what he had told Scar was the truth, as far as he could tell, but Scar seemed not to believe him. Yes, he was often the prankster of the server, but he wouldn't prank Scar like that.

As Grian was contemplating this, the Entity's voice cut him off. You have done well for now in building me a more permanent space , but it needs something else. I need a heart.

What sort of heart? Grian asked the voice mentally.

Something powerful and different. A conduit.

Ok, I'll see what I can do.

No. You will not see. I will ensure that I get a heart. You may watch.

With that, it almost felt like he was in spectator mode. Grian was watching what was happening from his own eyes, but it felt like a recording. He could feel what was happening, in a weird, detached way, but he couldn't control it.

It lead him over to the Hermississippi river, and forced him to fish. For days. And days. And days. And days. He was starving and tired, but the Entity simply wouldn't let him stop. He had bruises, cuts, and scrapes from monsters attacking him. His stomach felt as empty as the void. His arms felt like they weighed ten tons. His hands were blistered as a rainy sky is cloudy.

After a little bit more work, and some donations, he got the rest of the required nautilus shells. He crafted the conduit.

Entity's pov

The time had come. Time to get a new body.

Grian was a fantastic temporary host, but mortal bodies were somewhat limiting. Of course, it would still need to use him for some stuff that required a more mobile host, like building and gathering.

And giving essence.

Grian's pov

Finally, after days upon days upon days of work, Grian finally had the heart ready. He walked up to where he had prepared its frame. Grian took a deep breath, stepped forward, and placed the conduit. The Entity's new heart's eye opened.

Suddenly, Grian felt a deep wrench in his heart. It didn't feel like him. He shot his hands up to his chest, feeling it. It was cold. And hard. And when he looked under his shirt to see what it was, his heart skipped a beat. The skin over his heart was now made out of stone.

The Entity spoke to him. It was laughing. Thank you for placing my heart. Now things really start to get fun. Of course, to get my full power, I need some humanoid life force. By placing the heart, you have provided that. Truly, I thank you for your soul.
