Cw: blood, pain

Btw the tree is now on the Entity

A few days later...

Grian sat inside the Entity. He took off his sweater to check on the stone. Over the past few days, it had been spreading. Some bits had spread up his neck on the left side. It was going to be noticed. He put his shirt back on and pulled up further on his neck, trying to hide the petrification.

Grian walked outside, grabbed his chest of clothing, and walked back inside the Entity.

He rummaged through the box, looking for a mask. The avian couldn't find anything. He pulled a mirror out of the box checked his reflection. Will it really be that noticeable? He thought to himself. The stone tendrils were big enough that he was surprised no one had said anything yet.

The gremlin spotted something else in his hair. There were some leaves. He tried to pull them out, but only felt pain.

"Ow! What in the Notch?" It felt like he was trying to pull his hair out.

The Entity's voice spoke, Interesting. It seems you are adapting other parts of my main host, not just the stone. The leaves must be from the tree, which came from you selling wood. Curious.

"So now, I'm not only turning to stone, I'm also growing leaves?" Grian said.

It appears so. Huh. That's an interesting side effect for life giving, the Entity replied.

Grian decided that it would be better to go with a hat as well, just in case. He decided to add in a cloak to complete the alchemist look.

After putting on all the garments, he started to go outside. Might as well start moving my stuff inside, he thought to himself.

The Entity spoke, I'd rather you didn't. I don't want to be a house. If you silly mortal require a roof, build yourself a proper dwelling.

"Why not? I've done a lot for you, can't you do me this one favour?" Grian asked.

Tread lightly. I am more powerful than you know. Obey, or else...

Grian shivered at thinking about what the accursed rock might do to his friends. He didn't want a repeat of Evo. "Fine. I'll build another house," he said, sighing and grumbling.

Suddenly, an excruciating lightning bolt of pain shot through Grian! A cut appeared on his back. It started bleeding rapidly. Grian collapsed from the sheer wall of pain. The hard rock ground offered little comfort.

Watch it. The Entity said.

"Ye-s E-enit-tity," Grian crunched out, tears streaming down his face. The pain started to subside, all though the wound was still bleeding.

You will listen better next time. The Entity ordered.

The Entity released Grian from its grasp. He wiped the tears off his face, still shaking slightly. By some miracle, none of his stuff broke or spilled much out of the boxes.

Grian dug through the chests, looking for some gauze wraps and some rubbing alcohol. Grian removed his sweater, first checking to make sure no one else was on the server. The gremlin applied the rubbing alcohol and bandaged the gash. He put his sweater and alchemist wear back on and collected some blocks for the house to begin working.

Before too long, he finished. He stepped back and looked at his work. He had built a nice smallish house. It had a grayscale gradient up the walls. It's roof was made up of acacia. It was sort of small, but it was just a starter base. It was fairly close to the Entity, but far enough away for them to be two separate places. He started packing up his materials when Scar came over, a confused smirk on his face.

Scar's pov

Scar was straightening out his library. I wonder if Grian has finished the book yet, the terraformer thought to himself. It had been almost a week, and the small builder still hadn't returned the book.

Scar looked out his window. Speak of the devil and he shall appear. In front of his waffle headed friend was what appeared to be a boot. Why has Grian built a boot? I mean, it's a very nice boot, but why a boot? I ought to go check it out. Scar exited his tree and headed over to where Grian was packing up his materials.

Grian's pov

"Grian, why did you build a boot?" The matador asked.

"It's not a boot," Grian explained, "it's a house."

"Boot, house, same difference," Scar commented, giving Grian his signature expression.

Scar started assisting Grian in cleaning up his building materials. The small hermit mentally freaked out a bit, trying to figure out what he would do if Scar asked about his book. His mind wasn't focused on his reply when he said, "The Entity didn't want to be a house."

Scar froze and turned to his friend. "Huh? Did you just say that a boulder spoke to you?"

"Uhhhhhhhhh... N-no?" Grian realized what he said. His shoulders tightened up as he turned to look at his friend. Scar's face said 'are you actually insane?' Grian decided that trying to lie his way out of it was probably useless.

"What. I need an explanation."

Not much to say...

I had to fight Google docs for that ellipse after say.

Don't get possessed by an eldritch horror rock. It's not good for your health.
