The First Date With A Spirit

A/N: Welcome back. In this chapter, Shido gets to go on a date with Tohka. Not too interesting I know. But I promise Y/N will have a bigger role soon. The Yoshino arc will be all him. But for now, let's begin our date.

Shido and Tohka stop at a bakery as Tohka investigates what's on the other side of the glass.

Tohka: "Ooh! Shido, what is this? What is it? What is it? What is it?!"

Shido: "Kinako bread?"

Tohka: *she turns to Shido* "Is that it?"

Shido: "Do you want some?"

Tohka: "I wouldn't mind..."

Shido: "Right."

He goes inside the store and buys her some bread. When he comes back out, he offers her a small loaf.

Shido: "Here."

Tohka: "Huh?"

She sniffs the bread before staring at it lovingly.

Tohka: "This isn't a trap, is it?"

Shido: "Of course not. You can have it, stop drooling." 

Tohka leans in and closes her eyes as she bites into the bread. She yells with joy after one bite.

Tohka: "It's delicious!"

She reopens her eyes and grabs the bread. Tohka happily eats the kinako bread within seconds.

Tohka: "Is this a date, Shido?"

Y/N: Oh great, she's not the brightest. Next thing you'll know she'll be asking if marriage is a type of food.

Shido: "It's kinako bread."

Tohka: "What? It's not a date? Why isn't something that delicious a date?"

Shido: "Even if you say that..."

Tohka: "Could it be that this is not delicious enough to be called a date? Just what in the world is a date...?"

She runs to a food stall across the street.

Tohka: "A date!"

Shido: "That's not it either."

Y/N: If she's this dumb, I don't want to think about who I'll be talking to. Maybe it would be best if I went out of control. I could avoid going on a date with someone like that. I don't like to judge girls, I'm for every type, but even I get annoyed.

Tohka: "Where did all of these people come from? Is this an all-out war? If that's the case, I'd better attack before the Mecha-Mecha Squad gets here."

She reforms her armor and gets ready for attack.

Shido: "W-W-Wait a minute, Tohka!"

Tohka: "What are you doing? Don't stop me, Shido."

Y/N: This easily?

Shido: "I told you, no one here is trying to kill you."

Tohka: "Fine."

She pouts as she puts away her sword. A child next to them throws away his rubbish in a bin.

Child: "Mama! Mama, look! I threw away my trash all by myself."

Women: "Oh? Good job."

She pats her child on the head as they continue about their day.

Y/N: That's nice. Mom would always reward me for doing the right thing on my own.

Tohka quickly eats her weiners and throws away the trash. After which she presents her head to Shido.
