3 year have pass for Wei Ying, he is happy to know that Lan Zhan kept his word to come see him every now and then with Sizhui.

Lan Zhan is in Jingshi teaching Sizhui how to play on a guqin, "Fuqin, is this how you ask a spirit?" Sizhui asked by now little Sizhui is 5 year old.

"Yes, they can't lie to you, they have to answer your question. Keep playing okay," Sizhui nodded his head, he kept on playing until he is tire.

A minute later there is a knock on the door, "come in," the door open to revile Lan Xichen who look devastated, "Xiong zhang, what's wrong?" Sizhui stop playing, he walk over to Lan Xichen, "Shishu what's wrong?" Sizhui asked.

"Wangji, Da Ge....Da Ge....he....he....he died last night," this news stunned Lan Zhan. "How Xiong zhang?" Lan Zhan asked his brother.

"He Qi deviated."

"Nie Huaisang?" Even though Lan Zhan and Nie Huaisang isn't close, they were classmate after all. Beside his brother and Nie Mingjue is sworn brother, it is right for him to ask about the young Nie.

"He saw Da Ge Qi deviated. He isn't doing fine. He is not stable right now.....seeing his brother died right before his eye devastate him. With Da Ge death, he is downed with the burden of a sect leader."

Lan Zhan understand, his brother went through the same thing when their father pass away. Lan Xichen has to take over as sect leader at a young age. He know it will be a tough job for Nie Huaisang, now that his brother is gone.

Lan Xichen got up to leave, 'this doesn't sit right with me. I need to talk to Wei Ying about this,' "Sizhui, how about we go see Wei Ying?" Sizhui smile, the two left Jingshi to head toward the cold cave.

"Wei Ying," Wei Ying turn around, 'I don't like the sound of his voice,' "what's wrong Lan Zhan?" Wei Ying asked. Lan Zhan and Sizhui walk into view, "Chifeng Zun just died last night."

"What? But how?" Wei Ying went to put on his cloth, "Xiong zhang said that he has Qi deviated."

"But that is impossible, Sect leader Nie never have unstable Qi and his temperament was fair. How can he died over night? What about Nie xiong? How is he doing?"

Wei Ying see how quiet Lan Zhan is, "Lan Zhan?"

"Nie Huaisang isn't doing fine right now. He is devastated to see his brother died right before his eye."

"This doesn't seem right. How can Chifeng Zu just die overnight?" 'I need to speed thing up, this way I can help Nie xiong to find the truth. He is my friend and classmate after all.'

"I know Lan zhan. You and Nie xiong aren't close or friend with each other and all but he was once your classmate. We did travel together to find the Yin Iron back then. Oh that's right, how is Zewu Jun doing?"

"Mn. I got the mask for you. Once you leave from here, I will give you the mask. I also have the trailer to make your outfit. I will also go get it once you are out of here."

Once Lan Zhan and Sizhui left, Wei Ying take off his cloth again to go back into the water. 'That's right. Help Nie xiong as fast as I can.'

Lan Zhan bring food for Wei Ying just like every other day expect for this time he didn't talk he just play on Lan Yi guqin to help Wei Ying to meditate. After a long soak in the spring Wei Ying open his eye, he turn to look toward the table, "Lan Zhan was here? How come I didn't sense him or hear him?"

Wei Ying see food on the table, he put on his cloth while walking over to the table, "is still warm." 'Lan Zhan probably doesn't want to disturb me.' He sat down to eat the food before heading back into the water to meditate again.

'I wonder what will await for us once Wei Ying core have form again. I will protect Wei Ying no matter what especially from Jiang Wanyin. He try to kill Wei Ying, he doesn't even know what Wei Ying have done for him.' "As long as Wei Ying is here in Cloud Recesse, he is safe."

In the morning Lan Zhan also went to the cold spring, he want to cool off since he has to help his uncle around cloud Recesse while Lan Xichen is away in Qinghe Nie clan to help Nie Huaisang with sect duty.
