'Fancy taking coffee on the balcony babe?' Joe asked when they were finished eating dinner. She was just home from her visit to the children's hospital where the kids had recently arrived from Poland.

Inundated with refugees and unable to provide treatment centers for the oncology needs of numerous kids, the Polish president had appealed to Joe for help. Joe in turn had suggested Jill
liaise with the Polish First Lady to source the necessary care in the US. The two ladies had carried out Trojan work to source and secure adequate treatment for the kids and they had finally arrived in the US just a week ago. Fresh from her visit Jill spent much of the time over dinner filling Joe in on her day.

'Sure', she replied with a smile, standing. He slipped his arm around her waist. 'I feel like I haven't had fresh air in days', Joe mused. Jill leaned up and kissed him softly before resting her hand on his back as they walked. He smiled at her, his eyes shining, relaxing slightly now after another intensive week of negotiations and domestic challenges, glad that she was home from her trip. They were looking forward to the weekend, due to be spent at home in Delaware. Although Joe would be spending much of his time preparing for the upcoming trip to Europe, still a few weeks out, they looked forward to their Delaware weekends where they were both so much more relaxed and well out of the gaze of constant intensive scrutiny. Jill was excited at the prospect of enjoying morning coffee together in the kitchen at home. Perhaps preceded by some slow, sensual sex, she thought to herself, her toes curling plesurably at the thought. 'What are you grinning about?' Joe queried. She cast her eyes around to see if they were alone. 'Just thinking what our weekend might look like', she said with a glint in her eye. She kissed him quickly on his cheek as the butler passed them, sure to drop her hand to graze Joe's ass as she turned to walk towards the double doors ahead.

'How's the schedule for the trip coming along?' Jill asked as they walked arm in arm towards the balcony. Joe's step faltered. 'What?', she asked, looking up to his face as he hesitated in his answer. 'Ah it's nothing', Joe replied quickly. Jill nudged him with her shoulder. 'You need to try that again Mr President', she said, nodding her thanks to the agent who gestured that it was safe for them to venture outside. Joe was silent for a moment. He took a deep breath. Before he managed to speak Jill ran her hand along his arm. 'I'm going to miss you', she said looking up into his eyes. 'I've been traveling so much lately and you've been so busy I feel we've barely seen each other' she said as he pulled her chair out for her to sit. 'Actually that's what I wanted to talk to you about', Joe began, taking his own seat and proceeding to pour her coffee and then his own. 'It's looking like it'll be a six day trip. I know it's kinda ridiculous but I just hate being away from you for so long, especially when it's a different continent. I know it sounds silly but I can't help it', he said, grinning sheepishly. The intensity of Jill's stare caught him by surprise, 'I do understand', she said, 'you know I hate being away from you too Joe' Jill stated sincerely.

Now it was her turn to pause. 'Ummm, actually', Jill began slowly, 'I had an idea I wanted to talk over with you' she said, raising her eyes to meet his. 'Okay sure, but I just want to say something first babe if you don't mind' he said quickly. She nodded for him to continue. He stilled for a moment and took a deep breath before he spoke. 'Why not come to Europe with me?', he said, his voice tentative. Jill looked at him in surprise. He wasn't sure if she thought it a good idea or not but decided to say what he had been thinking for the past few days. 'Look, there's no pressure, you know that, but I thought you could meet the Polish First Lady, make an announcement about the cooperation with the kids and the cancer support. You could visit the troops with me, or visit their families alone if you like. Come with me to see some of the refugees, although I'm not sure if the secret service are actually gonna to agree to that. And, well, I dunno but I'm sure you'd have no trouble filling a program and well, we'd be together, sleep together every night, just be near to each other. You never know I might even manage to throw in a dinner together', he concluded, looking hopefully at her.
