Matt
My fist smashes into Cole's face and I feel his nose break under my knuckles, and if that isn't the most satisfying feeling I don't know what is.
Alex goes for Jack. Felix goes for Noel. Darius goes for Aiyden. And the rest of the party breaks out in chaos.
Random people just start fighting, some people are just frozen in place, and some flee.
For maybe 5 more minutes this is all I notice: the sounds. People shouting, people screaming, people shouting and screaming at us to fight, the guy's breath not getting raggedy but the St Joseph's boy's breathing becoming shallow.
This and the fact that I block nearly every punch that comes my way and I land pretty much everyone I throw.
I'm basically in my own head not listening to anyone anymore, at least until someone screams, "Cops!"
We all freeze in our steps and a different type of chaos breaks out. Everyone starts running out and Cole just looks at me. "This isn't over, Brown. I'm coming for you."
I nod at him, "Okay, sure you are. But I can recommend a great doctor to look at that nose for you if you want?"
Jack and Noel pull him away and they all run out the door, Aiyden just glares at all of us and then walks out.
I throw my keys at Alex. "Get in my car I'm just gonna grab my jacket. I'll be right out."
I run upstairs and into the spare bedroom that got laid out as the 'coat room' for the night and grab my jacket.
As I enter the hall I hear Penelope, Brooke, and Maddie all talking in Pen's room.
"Seriously Maddie, you don't need to stay. We've had the cops show up before, we know how to deal with them. You don't need to get in trouble for something that doesn't involve you." Brooke says.
Penelope explains, "Besides I need to stay and make sure they don't contact my parents, cause if they do then they'll have to pretend to parent me which is just a waste of time for everyone involved."
"Are you sure?" Maddie asks, "Cause I don't want to just abandon you. But I don't even know how I'd get back, I can't drive and like everyone's gone by now."
Penelope scratches her head. "Oh, yeah."
Maddie paces. "But what about my visa? I'm not really sure how they work completely yet, but I've watched enough television to know that getting in trouble with the police is not good for visas. Wait," She stops and faces Pen. "What about your visa? Would this not interfere with your one too? Oh, fucking hell I really need to research these things."
"Maddie, chill out. Breathe. In and out, yeah?" Brooke holds her shoulders still. "I'm gonna call you an Uber and they can park at the end of the road. So just run out quickly and hide down there. That good?"
She looks so stressed out that it's almost comical. I move my feet so I can move to escape but I trip and come in view of the girls.
They all jump and stare at me when they realise it's me and not a cop or some predator. I wave at them. "Hey."
Brooke straightens, "Hey, Matty."
"What are you doing here Matt?" Penelope asks.
I hold up my jacket. "Had to run up and get this before the cops came."
She walks to me, points her finger towards my chest and pokes me. "This is all your fault, Matthew Brown. Ruined a perfectly good birthday party just for a little fight."
