The Boston Harbor Hotel is one of the most stunning buildings I've ever seen in my whole life.

There's a dome building and arches everywhere and it is on the harbour which for some reason I didn't connect the dots on.

When we pulled up much to Penelope's joy we were 'iconic'.

The lads' limo pulled in first and then Felix opened the door for us and Nick took Ev's arm, Alex got Pen's, Darius took Brooke, and Matt and me. Felix held the train of Penelope's dress because it's so long.

The 'ballroom' I suppose is the best way to describe the humongous room that is decorated for the occasion.

There are banners that say "Congratulations!" and all of that lovely stuff. Streamers and balloons, all in black, white, and gold, very classy. Very on brand for Brooke, which makes sense as yet again she organised the event.

Currently the boys are minding mine and Penelope's heels because after only an hour and a half we're wrecked. In fairness we've been dancing the whole time but still. Brooke is much better equipped for this because eighty-five percent of the time you will only find her in a pair of stilettos.

"Where'd Darius go?" Felix asks.

We all look around not seeing the huge six foot five man anywhere.

"I think I saw him talking with Sophia near the bar a while ago." Penelope says.

All of our heads turn towards the bar and sure enough there Darius stands surrounded by Sophia, basically the whole cheer team, and female student body.

Alex swallows back the rest of his drink and stands up from our table, "That's my cue then. See y'all later."

And with that he leaves on his hunt to find the few remaining people in the school he hasn't gotten with.

"There goes our little boy," Matt says wistfully, staring after Alex, "Never one to stay near the nest for too long."

"But he always comes home." Felix says and they clink their glasses together like two dads watching their youngest daughter leave for college.

Penelope laughs, "You guys are so weird."

They both just in unison wink at her which just causes us all to laugh even more.

"Is Alex the youngest out of you all?" Evelyn asks.

Matt thinks for a second, "Yeah, he is, then Penelope, Darius, Felix, me, then Brooke is the oldest."

"When's her birthday?" Nick asks.

"October thirtieth."

"Ha." Nick laughs, "I'm older. September first."

Evelyn smiles and says, "I would've thought Darius or Felix would be the oldest. But I guess Brooke actually makes sense,"

They nod to Brooke who is currently giving out to a bartender for something I don't even remember what. "She always takes care of everyone else, like a mother, she protects everyone she loves and has all of her lists and that little bag of hers can hold anything."

Brooke starts to walk over to us and Evelyn says, "Watch." They turn to Brooke, "Hey, do you by any chance have some deodorant in your bag? I think all of that dancing was a bit of a bad idea."

And sure enough she pulls out a can of deodorant from her bag, which wouldn't be as weird if her bag wasn't quite small and it was a regular sized can.

She hands it to her, "Here you go." She sits down again and sighs, "I swear to god, I could murder Chantelle."
