Matt

It's been two weeks since graduation and I'm not going to lie, every second since school ended I've spent with Mads.

With the exception of the day the guys and I literally just stayed at my place for two days straight and played video games.

Mads, Alex, Felix, Pen, Darius, and I are all in Dorchester right now having dinner in the most delicious Vietnamese restaurant, Ba Le.

Possibly the most delicious food I've ever eaten in my life and it just gets better every time I eat here.

Brooke had to stay at home and help her dad do something or another. I'll be honest I wasn't really listening.

"Okay, I get that." Alex says between bites of his sandwich, "But, would you rather wear fairy wings everyday for the rest of your life or a leprechaun hat?"

We all turn and look at Maddie and see her just staring at Alex. "Har har. You are just so goddamn funny, you crack me up every day. Such a comedian." Her eyebrows raise in question, "Should I carry around my pot of gold too?"

"Only if you can find it at the end of the rainbow?" He says with a wink.

Mads rolls her eyes, "Well, I'm the leprechaun. So, of course I know where the end of the rainbow is."

Everyone laughs and we continue playing the game. Darius says, "Would you rather live in the White House or Buckingham Palace?"

"Buckingham Palace. It's literally a palace." Penelope nods her head.

"I agree." Felix says, "The White House seems boring."

"Buckingham, isn't really all that." Maddie says while taking a sip of her Pepsi.

"You've been?" D asks her.

"Yeah, I went on a tour a few years ago. Like it is a landmark and everything and it is pretty. But there isn't anything spectacular about it." She shrugs, "If you want to see any beautiful castles or palaces then I recommend the Château de Pierrefonds or the Palace of Versailles. Because they're stunning and not in England."

"What's your beef with England?" Alex asks.

"Are you joking?" She stares at him for a second and laughs, "I'm Irish and French, two of the countries that England harmed a lot. Like the Hundred Years War for France. More than eight-hundred years of Ireland being ruled under the English people. The Famine. The Easter Rising. Hell, six of the thirty-two counties in Ireland are still a part of The UK.

"It's not 'beef', it's hundreds of years of England thinking they're better than us. And so many people still think that all of Ireland is part of The UK, which is so offensive to the people who died earning our freedom back only a hundred year ago. Like it's recent shit. My great-granny would've been alive during it."

He nods, "I guess that's a pretty good reason."

"Yeah." She laughs and shakes her head, "I'm sorry about that. I've always been pretty passionate, I suppose is the best word to describe how I feel about all of that stuff."

"What's the Easter Rising?" Penelope asks.

"During the Easter weekend of 1916 there was a rebellion in Dublin against British rule and the IRB and ICA were a big part of it. And sixteen of the leaders of it all were executed in Kilmainham Gaol afterwards. But anyway this isn't a history lesson, sorry about that, let's continue with the game."
