Chapter 17

Adriana's POV

"Okay so these are the room assignments. Maddie and Adriana in one room. Then Raphael, Noah and Connor. Lastly, Nikolai and Alessio."

"Or..." I began but was rudely interrupted

"Fuck off JJ." Dad rubbed his face in annoyance

Alessio and I have been acting crazy all morning. For starters we got zooted before we got on the private jet. We were easily caught and both of us got slapped in the back of the head then lecture. I'm pretty sure we depleted the private jets food supply. Then we took open mouth snoring naps.

"Rude! I was just gonna make a small request."

"You and Alessio are not sharing a room." He said in a 'this isn't up for discussion' tone

"But we're twins!" Alessio whined

"Volkovs don't- fuck wrong kid." Dad pinched the bridge of his nose

"We'll behave if you let me room with my favorite sister." we hugged and gave Alek our biggest smile

"If you room together Maddie ends up by herself."

"I don't mind-"

"Fuck off!" Dimitri cut off Niko

He's been bugging Dima to let him and Maddie room together

"I'm okay with rooming alone if she doesn't wanna room with me that badly."

There wasn't a shred of sincerity in that statement. I could tell she was trying to guilt trip me.

"It's not like that Maddie. I just never see Adriana."

"Yeah the most time we've spent together was in the womb." I added

Maddie just rolled her eyes

"The hotel has a string of bungalows for larger groups. You'd be in separate bungalows but they all share the same pool. The rooms are only to sleep." Sergei explained

"So are you guys staying at the bungalows?" Niko asked the real adults

"The bungalows only come in threes so Sergei, Dimitri, Yuri, and I will be staying in the main hotel. We will give you our room numbers so you can find us if something happens. The bungalow phones are connected with the hotel so you can call us too. If you guys do anything that'll leave me under the impression you can't be trusted Yuri will be assigned to Milo and Alessio's room to supervise."

"Why me?" Yuri groaned

"Cause we said so." Sergei answered

"I wanna get laid. Not baby sit a bunch of high schoolers."

"Volkovs don't whine." I teased and he flipped me off

"We won't get caught so give us our room keys." I held my hand out

Half an hour later

We're currently unpacking in our rooms. We plan to watch the sunset as a group before heading to the main hotel for dinner.

"At midnight Alessio and I are planning to down two flaming shots. It'll be like blowing out birthday candles. Wanna come?" I invite Maddie

"I can't drink."

"I know but I figured you wouldn't mind since it's my birthday." I explain

"Both of you drink already so I don't get the hype."

"This is our first legal drink."

"Are you Cuban?"

"Our mother was Cuban and Spanish. That's why Alessio looks more Latino than me. He takes after my mom more while I take after my father."
