Adriana's POV
I'm at our UK house and the walls are literally shaking from all the yelling. I'm just sitting on the couch taking it.
"You tested positive for every drug in the fucking book! Did you do all of this in one night?"
"I don't know." Tears ran down my face
"Do you even know what you were on?"
"No." I shook my head
"Read it out loud!"
"Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroin, PCP, LSD and Alcohol."
"You were 14 years old! 113lbs and you had all this in your tiny ass body. You could've dropped dead, gotten addicted, been raped. The list goes on!"
"It wasn't my fault. I didn't willingly do that."
"Yes it is your fault! You had no business smoking weed to begin with. Yuri is a pot head but has never been laced because he smokes responsibly. I've smoked and not once did I get my shit laced. You were desperate to fit in with your friends and took everything they gave you no questions asked. Then you stayed friends with the asshole who knowingly did it and even moved in with them. You still drink and smoke with them."
"I don't smoke what Connor buys anymore." I argued
"You're just not getting it. The lecture is a waste of both our time so I'm moving on to the punishment. I'm cutting you off."
"What?"
"You heard me. I will only pay for your schooling and those related fees. I won't be sending you an allowance and I froze all of your credit card. Your debit card balance will be adjusted to reflect the amount you've earned. You want to not listen and keep living with your friends do so on your own. I'm not funding a future addiction either."
"What about my car insurance?"
"Get a job and pay it yourself." He shrugged
"If you drug test me right now there will be nothing in my system. I may live with the guys but I haven't been drinking or smoking. I've been focusing on my final projects to graduate. Working will only cut into my research. I'll have to work a lot to be able to afford my car's insurance. Oliver punished us when it happened so what you're doing now is overkill."
"I don't care. I'm not going to keep recklessly funding you. You have a meal plan and a studio. You have all the necessities you need."
"You're so unfair."
"And you're a disappointment. Don't apply to my company. You won't even pass the drug test. Don't waste the interviewer's time."
At dad's company candidates are limited to 3 attempts depending on what stage of the hiring process they reach. Failing the drug test automatically invalidates you from ever applying again.
"I'm going home. Since I'm such a disappointment you don't have to come to my graduation. I'll invite the Lombardi's instead."
"When they ask why I'm not there I hope you'll be prepared to explain to them what 14 year old you was doing."
"You know I can make a lot of money since I'm cute. I can show you how disappointing I can really be."
"Are you threatening me?" He scoffed
"I don't have time to work and I'm 18 now. You already think I'm a disappointment and I can't apply to your company. What do I have to lose?"
"Get out." He snapped
"Gladly."
Before I left I threw my car keys at his chest
I started walking to the subway so I could go home when someone honked their horn. I turned to see Sergei driving my car. I didn't even know he was in the UK. He glared at me to get in and I listened
