I just pulled into the driveway of mom and dad's house. I take a deep breath and walk to the front. I ring the doorbell and wait. After a minute or two dad opens the front

"Hi Alessandro," I smile nervously

"Hi Adriana what brings you here?" he asks

I can smell his breath from a mile away. He's been drinking

"Well I came to see why my parents didn't come ask about my babies." I rub my flat stomach

"You're pregnant?" he tears up

"Yeah didn't you know I sent a picture of the sonogram."

"I haven't looked at my phone recently."

"How many are there?"

"Wow, Charlotte is gonna be beaming with joy."

"I know."

We sat in an always silence

"Im sorry, I could've been a better father but I wasn't. When you left it was soul crushing and I wasn't the best man for the boys. Then when they called saying I could have you I was over the moon. I always imagined you being daddy's little girl who I'd shower with attention but you were so independent. You grew up young and that's no ones fault but that bitch. I knew to give you time but then I saw you with Volkov your relationship was exactly what I wanted but I missed out on. I was and still am jealous. I keep thinking that should be me but I can't pretend I'm not the one to blame. I admit when I ran my mafia I was heartless when it came to you. When I did those things I assumed they were Aleksandr's doing and I wanted to get back at him. I was jealous and petty. There's no excuse for my actions but I'm so sorry." tears ran down his face

"You know this is the first time you've ever apologized to me. Our relationship is bad because we can't communicate. You expect me to get over everything you do which is unfair to me. You've never once taken responsibility for our strained relation which is why I retaliate so much. I forgive you and I'm less busy now that I'm unemployed so let's try and build a relationship." I suggested

"I'd like that." we hugged

"Oh you came to visit?" mom came down

"Yeah you guys weren't answering your phones."

"Did you call?"

"No but I sent a text that I thought would make you happy."

"What was it I dropped my phone in the sink?" I laughed at her because she can never keep her phones dry

"I'm eating for 5 now." I rubbed my flat belly

"AHHHHHHHHHHH MY BABY IS HAVING BABIES!" she screamed

"4 of them I hope they look like you." dad grinned

"When did you find out?"

"Yesterday in the hospital."

"That's why you fainted. Well you should eat they must be starving." she said and dragged me to the kitchen

"So have you thought of names?"

"We have names for all our children but it's a secret you'll just have to meet them."

"I can't wait to meet them! For now I gotta fatten you up."

She fixed me the biggest plate of shrimp Alfredo

"That's too much!"

"Nonsense this is only the first bowl."
