Y/n couldn't stop replaying the moment on the rooftop in her head. The words Hanako had spoken.

"You both know the truth, but you're still wanting to be friends with a murderer."

He said he was kidding... But he looked... Angry?  She shakes her head. No, it wasn't intense enough to be irritation. It was more like...

"Hello?" Y/n jumps. "What's the problem?" "Ah! Sorry, I was spacing out--" Y/n apologizes, still holding one of Aoi's plants.

"Really?" Aoi asks. Yashiro furrows her eyebrows in a concerned manner. "You've been spacing out a lot recently, Y/n. Are you okay? I'm getting worried." Y/n frowns at her friends.

Aoi smiles. "Orr, are you thinking about a new crush?" Y/n puts a green tube in the plants, shaking her head. "No... I wish." An image of (Character) popped in her head.

Aoi then frowns, thinking. "Oh!" Her face lights up. "I've heard a creepy story that's been going around, I think you two might find it interesting~"

Both of her friends look to her. "It's the second of the seven wonders!" Both Yashiro and Y/n glance at each other. "The Misaki stairs, they say that if you step on the fourth step you'll be taken to another world, the world of the dead." Aoi starts.

"No-one will know you've gone missing, and you'll be torn into tiny pieces. Rumor says if you go to the staircase in twilight, you can see the blood of its victims dripping on the fourth stair."

Yashiro has been shaking, as Y/n has barely any reaction. Aoi puts her index finger in front of her mouth. "I'm sure you've seen it. It's the staircase in front of the art room. I've actually heard a bunch of kids say they've seen a puddle of blood over there." She lets out a 'heheheh'.

Yashiro whimpers. "I'm sorry, Yashiro! I didn't mean to upset you, I thought you liked creepy stories!" "Yeah, I do! I love them!"

Aoi grabs Yashiro's hands. "Oh good! I was worried I messed it up.  I've never been that good at telling scary stories. I've been listening for more lately, cause I know they brighten both of you up!" She tells the two girls. "Thanks, that's kind." Yashiro gives a small smile.

"You must be lost, is that right?" All three of them lightly jump at the male's voice. "Because my students never miss their appointments. Career Counseling meeting? Meet in the art room at 4:30. Does any of this ring a bell?"

Aoi lets go of Yashiro's hands. "I gotta go!" She starts running out the room. "Cya later Nene and Y/n! Get better! Call me!" Both girls nod and slowly raise their hands to wave.

Y/n looks at the flowers and smiles. "Hey, the flowers are starting to bloom." Yashiro turns to look. "Oh, yeah. Aoi'll be happy about it." Y/n nods.

She then turns to Yashiro. "Can you help me clean the bathroom? I'm feeling lazier than usual." Y/n sheepishly smiles. "Fine. Only cause I'm a good friend." Y/n's face brightens up. "YESSS!"

"What the--- What happened to Aoi's plants?" Yashiro asks, looking at the books that replaced them. Yashiro then starts to freak out. "Calm down, Yash. It's not a big deal." Y/n turns to the Mokke.

"Was it you?" Yashiro asks, intensely staring at them. "I... Don't think they even can, honestly. Their too small." Yashiro sighs.

The Mokke hands them both a candy. "Want one?" Yashiro declines. Y/n nods. "Yes, please! I'm tired..." She decides to take only one, leaving the Mokke another piece.
