Teru smirks. "How foolish. Did you really think killing her would solve everything?"

"There was no other way for me to extend Yashiro's lifespan and..."

Teru laughs. "You still don't get it? Let me put it this way." He stabs Hanako's arm. "Supposing that a future where Aoi dies and Yashiro's lifespan is extended becomes set in stone..." He kneels beside Hanako. "I will kill Yashiro and maybe even Y/n myself."

His eyes widen, especially at Y/n's name. He turns to him. "...But you'd have no reason to..."

"Do I need a reason? Retaliation, revenge, blowing off steam... Stuff like that. Did you never consider Y/n might end up taking the brunt of that?"

He looks up at Teru with saddened eyes. "Are you serious?"

Teru smiles. "Who knows? But hasn't this helped open your eyes a little to what you've done?" He raises his sword. "Okay. It's time you disappeared."

Kou drops down, blocking his older brothers attack.

"Kou!" Teru shouts.

"Mio, now!"

Hanako rolls on to his back as fast footsteps start. She then drops down to look him in the eyes with determination. Hanako stares at her. "Y/n...?"

She quickly gets up and grabs his wrist. "C'mon. Stand up!" She turns to the train's door. "We're running away!"

Y/n pants as she continues to run into a tunnel. "Y/n! Where are we going?"

She doesn't answer. "Wait. Hey! Y/n..!" He tears his wrist from her grasp. "I'm speaking to you!!" She slows to a stop. "...Why did you come?" He softly pants. "If only you hadn't come. If you just stayed in the human world... It wouldn't have mattered if the eldest Minamoto and No. 1 came to exorcise me." She walks over to him. "Everything would've been fi-" Y/n slaps him.

"'Why'? There is no "why"..." She clenches her teeth and grabs his collar. "I... I wanted to see the one I love!!" She shouts. "Is that so wrong?!"

He stays quiet.

"It was terrible!! We couldn't go to the boundaries! I was in this depressed state for three weeks, we couldn't leave this strange house..."

"House? State?"

"I ate pizza with a dead body as the topping!"

"Pizza?"

"And I knew Teru was going to exorcise you... I got Kou to help me, and somehow managed to get you out of there. WE RAN FOR OUT LIIIVES!!" She starts to shake him. "So why?! Why's the first thing out of your mouth a complaint?! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!!"

"WHO CARES ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO ME!" He lays in the water, Y/n on top of him. "Didn't you say you wish for her to live longer? After the clock keeper troubles. Don't you get it? If Aoi's saved, she'll die-"

"STOP IT!"

He stops.

"Just... Stop it already... It's fine. She doesn't want that to happen... Why'd everything turn out like this? You're always acting on your own..." She sniffles and hugs him. "Amane, you idiot... I hate you...!!" She continues to cry, her sobs muffled.

His eyes widen, then soften after a few seconds.

She continues to quietly sob into a handkerchief Hanako gave her while sitting on spiral stairs, Hanako on taller ones. "I'm sorry." He says softly. He looks down. "Even if I extended your friends life, I knew you wouldn't agree to it. Not like this. Aoi is another one of your best friends, after all. But... As long as you continued like you were living, I knew you'd eventually forget about me. You'd resent me, but you'd live with your friends. I'd make you happy... Is what I thought. But, we're dead. We can't grow up with them. And we can't stay by their side forever." He hugs himself and places his head in his arms. "I'm sorry..."
